Terminally ill people are all people who have little hope of recovering and will die.

The issue of helping a person get food, who has no other aids other than a wheelchair- being seen as on extraneous life support is bizarre.

I don't agree with some Docs assessment of Terri.

Terri was NOT dying. I have personally worked with people less responsive than Terri, and I do not advocate locking them up and starving them to death.

And for all of you who say that "who would want to live that way". Apparently Terri because she is still kicking. BTW- I would never "want" to love as an ugly lesiban- but I don't think we should starve one of them to death.

They're projecting their own fear of reject by those they love unto Terri.

When I hear "won't want to live that way," it's a very strong indication they're afraid the people who they would be dependent upon will eventually get tired of them or resent them.

Sad.

My beloved would want me to live - and thus, I would find the joy in my beloved voice, and touch.

Even if in diminished capacity, my beloved would want me.

And that would make it worth living.

So sad, for others... who don't have that knowledge.
