Ad we are not near to such yet. Nor is the act of either executive -- the State Governor or the Federal President to go in with armed and strong force to take that hostage away from her murderers illegal. It would not be illegal in Iraq, it can not be illegal here.
This article is a pile of rubbish. (And, I'm being kind)
I am not an evangelical and I would stay home too!
Answer: The Executive branch has the power to pardon for things decided in the Judicial.
There you go.
Perhaps people should focus on allowing "Fault" divorce in the event of a incapcity case like this. A specifically enumerated immediation family (mother/father/brother/sister) could petition the court to make a "fault" finding for divorce for cause. (in michaels case his new girlfriend and family. Remember no common law marraige in FL)
We should be creating a list of changes that should be made to prevent this from happening again.
FIRST: We the end of Democrat filibusters for judges.
-second: Jury trials for a finding of fact that the person wanted to die when the family can not reach agreeent.
-third: Appointment of a RANDOM selected Attorney ad Littem in ALL incapacity cases where death is a possible request.
-fourth: Shall issue language in the federal review. IOW no substantial likelihood of succes test for TR0's.
-fifth: codifying the presumption of life in the absence of a living will.
-sixth: ??? insert constructive ideas here.
One thing is 100% certain. WITHOUT republicans in office we are all next to be "executed."
Exactly. You just defeated your entire, self righteous argument. YOU have no idea what the Governor or President could/should/would have done.
That's right. Jeb Bush is a bad, bad, man. You guys are the majority. If you don't get what you want, you should send in troops. That's my idea of solving domestic problems.
Mission accomplished.
Thank you,
Hillary

You make some excellent points.
You make some excellent points.
On the floor of the House (two Sundays ago when they had their emergency session), several Congressmen, at least one of whom is a doctor, said that every day thousands of people have feeding tubes and other life saving equipment disconnected.
Previous to that, I had been using the number hundreds.
Several freepers have said that it happens in hospitals and nursing homes and hospices every single day.
USA Today had an article that I asked someone to post but no one ever did (we subscribe to the magazine) that said that feeding tubes were removed every day of the week all year long in this country with no fanfare after families and their doctors consulted and decided there was no hope.
Now I am not up on all the details but were I Jeb before storming the hospice I would have filled an appeal in Greer court and then thrown Greer in jail and appointed a friendly judge to Greers court. Then when I was elected president in 2008 I would not get any crap from the Surpreme Court or any other court.
First of all, you'd have to find a definition of RINO that everyone would agree on; NOT just YOUR definition.
And if you think that you could get REAL Conservatives to vote for Hillary or any other damned Dem,you're out of your wee mind.
Voting, or not voting at all, to "teach a lesson", does NOTHING.It "teaches" NOBODY anything and only you what you do NOT want.
So I'll ask again..... How can the Gov. suspend someone that is subject to impeachment......... Just curious... Make me a pretty post spelling it out....
Perhaps then you can comfort your conscience as to the humanity of prolonging a person in a hopeless state of living death, to suffer indefinitely because you don't believe in removing a feeding tube.
I hope you realize on the other hand that there are others who consider your position immoral?
This is NOT an easy issue.
That is why the law, and many of us here believe such decisions are best left up to the individual and their family members.
And not to the Congress or Presidents or Governors, or these unseemly and often ugly demonstrations outside of a dying person's hospice.
I know one Bush 2004 Elector who won't support Jeb for President if he doesn't step up to the plate and rescue Terri from the GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT sentence toward the disabled...ME!
Not even SERIAL MURDERS are considered GUILTY UNTIL PROVEN INNOCENT!!!
Ah, thank you. Usually, an artist is not appreciated in his own time.
If true, I'm surprised. I would have guessed most people who were against abortion would be against killing the non-terminally ill.
I wonder what makes this case so different?
