Salem, Ore. - A picture of a Marine holding an assault rifle has sparked a wave of controversy at a Salem high school.
The problem began when the Marine's sister brought the picture to McKay High School to post on a classroom bulletin board.

Thanks for the pic!
Now that's a GUN!
Either that or Oklahoma City Those are the call letters of Channel 4 in that market, or Lincoln, NE where they are the call letters of a popular AM radio station.
Some ninny called Rush today saying that she couldn't tell if they really were military. She said none of them was wearing an uniform. (Be news to the Marines that their "digital" desert cammo BDU's aren't a uniform. She also said something about it didn't look like they were "at work", but rather just hanging out in somebodies room. Looks more like a plywood shack than a "room" to me.
ROFL!
The Nerfoil?...;))
True, but I was looking for the laugh...What's that, a M198(Towed)?
The principal is a contemptible fool. I no longer have the slightest respect for someone so openly indoctrinating her charges instead of teaching them.
It's Massachusetts. A LOT of idiots tried to eliminate the Minute Man. The Spirit of '76 is completely gone in MA. We're no longer taught that we are the Cradle of Liberty, we're now the original terrorists (they can't mention the terrorists in the Bible, the Bible isn't legal here either).
Why just one glance at this photo makes me want to run out and start stabbing people.
I wonder just how big their E-mail boxs are....hypothetically speaking of course.
Well it seems like a no brainer to a rational person.
Principal Cynthia Richardson is a rational person. I want to see some proof.
Thanks for the pics!
Let's see, the gun is not illegal or being used in an illegal act. Therefore no legal issue of it being in the pic. The only objection seems to be on moral grounds, and since this is a public school I believe under the ACLU definition that is a violation of separation of church and state.
There you go ..good one..
Actually, when it was brought to her attention, during the interview the principal did say, "I suppose I'll have to address that next."
Way back in 1952 Ray Bradbury wrote a sci-fi book called Fahrenheit 451 in which he predicted that the world would become so PC that all books and meaningfull art would be banned , this way NO ONE gets offended by anything .Man was he on the money huh ? How totally absured this is all getting ..Fahrenheit is a MUST read ..fascinating look at our world from back in 52 ..Ray was dead on the money ...
Principal Cynthia Richardson..humm why do I get the feeling she majored in some sort of bullsh*t ethnic/social studies in college ?Bet a years pay she did .
