He attempted to overpower his guards.
I suspect he got his ass thumped soundly for his efforts.
The United States Army does not use 50 year old grandmas for prisoner escort.

He didn't overpower his guards. He ATTEMPTED to overpower his guards.
And was promptly smacked down, as he should have been. I hope his injuries aren't trivial.
(I work one block from the Fulton County courthouse and knew some of the victims personally. Nobody in the MPs is as stupid as the Fulton County sheriff.)
