Bill Clinton Supports Rescuing Schiavo
NewsMax ^ | 3/30/05 | Limbacher

While New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has virtually gone into hiding - as have many other Democrats - regarding whether or not Terri Schiavo should be starved to death, ex-President Bill Clinton was reportedly was "egging on" one of Hillary's colleagues to support federal intervention to rescue Schiavo.

Reports CBS's Dottie Lynch:

"[Sen. Tom Harkin] forged the coalition with Republicans Frist, Santorum, Martinez and, according to two sources, had the support of former President Clinton for his actions. While Mr. Clinton apparently didn't talk to Harkin until after the vote, one source described Mr. Clinton as 'egging him on.'"

It wouldn't be the first time Bill Clinton urged fellow Democrats to side with conservatives on traditional values issues.

During the presidential campaign, the triangulator-in-chief advised Sen. John Kerry to find a way to support at least a few of gay marriage bans that were on the ballot on eleven states.

Kerry rejected the advice and lost the election.

So why hasn't Mr. Clinton exhorted Mrs. Clinton to join Harkin in the bid to save Schiavo? "He probably did," one longtime Clinton watcher opined to NewsMax. "And it looks like she turned him down."

I agree. Yesterday Jesse Jackson showed up in FL on Terri's behalf. X42 weighs in yesterday, too, so all of the RAT scum will all put on their sack cloth and ashes to demonstrate what humanitarians they are and how they weep at the loss of innocent lives. Of course, when Terri's dead this will only be an entry on their political CV and nothing - I repeat - NOTHING will be done or supported by them to prevent such tragedy again. In fact, as we all know, they'll only continue building the new and improved death machine every chance they get. Nothing but pure, unalloyed, lying, hypocritical grandstanding on the part of these blood stained pigs.

Clinton and the other Demo-craps now jumping on the bandwagon, when it's too late, are nothing but disgusting POLITICAL VULTURES.

"Considering Bill's recent health problems, I would think he would want to be on Terri's side".

Many of our legistlators and judges are old, and will soon be called to meet their maker. I wonder if they expect any justice or mercy, and if they are willing to take, what they have dished out to the people of their nation? Will they be happy with the "mercy" that they extended to Terri Schiavo and her famiy? I just do not think so, for they will not like to be treated as if they are "unworthy" to even live.

Well I mean we ALL had that ABC Poll showing that EVERYONE agreed, the tube should stay out... right?

I mean we all saw the numbers, we all talked about it, it was quoted as IRREFUTABLE FACT for the first week (incl. on EVERY Sun. Morning Talkshow)

I seriously think, with the Dimocraps sweating the 'values' thing, some would have come out to support Terri (even if only opportunisitically) if they weren't scared off by the 'widespread support' for pulling the tube (as "proven" the poll)

Oh wait... that Poll was bogus. We're far from a 'hard count' (ie and Election) on anything so the pollsters feel free to go back to the fudgeing of numbers, massaging of questions, and reporting on poll inferences as news. When we get near an 'election', and their bluffs are going to be called... suddenly they are USELESS and show 50/50 or 50/47 with 3% error.

TO HELL WITH POLLS!

The 'Toon is hedging his bets against the time he is in the same situation. Hitlery would only be too anxious to pull a Schiavo/Greer/Felos.

Who in the hell cares what this disgraceful hillbilly communist has to say about anything? As soon as Terri expires both he and shrillary will jump on a crate and pontificate until tears will run down the faces of the stinking leftist skunks who only smile when our nation sinks deeper into the quicksand.

They cry in front of the camera, but joke, laugh, and pat each other on the back in private.

PLEASE- For days I've been begging- if you want to save Terri, stop the politics, acrimony and the political activism and the vitriol.

IF we had started from the beginning to establish this bipartisan Mercy Coaltion, instead of fighting our political fights, Terri would have had the tube reinserted. Clinton and Jackson would have been the 1st people I would have called- and their my arch rivals.

Clinton, Nader, Jackson, Boies, Dersowitz, Lieberman these guys can change public opinion and DEM votes in an instant. They should all be invited down to the hospice.

Save Terri! Stop the inflammatory rhetoric. Form an alliance with your Dem rivals. Call or e-mail a DEM today and plead to their sense of Mercy and conscience.

Do you want to save Terri-or save your principles at the expense of her Death.

For as long as she fights, you owe her your fight too.

Join the Mercy Coalition.

I think this whole affair has far-reaching implications, and I don't know on which side of the life/death divide they'll fall.

But one thing is perfectly clear to me, the feds are impotent, incapable of even the slightest bit of turgor relative to the Judiciary, and this is not at all likely to change.

Yeah, here comes another Democrat saying he wants Terri saved now that she's likely past the point of no return.

Expat,

If I read the significance of the Twain quote correctly, the point is that NO ONE thought she could last this long.

Now, every person of conscience, has to rethink this issue. How is it that a woman who allegedly said she would want to die in this situation, is fighting for her life?

Call or e-mail a Dem. Join the Mercy Coalition. Let's fight for as long as Terri is able to fight.

Watch how quick Hillary would yank that tube should Bill get incapacitated. Somehow I can't see her caring for Bill to the bitter end like Nancy Reagan.
