i must say that my family (parents, brothers and sisters) are liberal... they vote liberal... and they are upset that Terri's feeding tube has been removed... they all think Michael Shiavo is a dog... they think what's happened to her is disgusting... it might be a left vs. right thing... but not entirely...
Sekulow is smarter than Gibbs.
Actually, the court is just following the de novo instructions. The diestrict court legally should have looked at the facts of the case again, not just the rulings and processes. Yes, it may well be a last ditch effort, but isn't worth a try?
"...the Rev. Jesse Jackson prayed with her parents and joined conservatives...
Those are most most incredible words I've ever seen posted on FreeRepublic. My goodness, Terri's getting support from the Rev, Ralph Nader, and even Alan Dershowitcz...
keep saying to yourselves.....in America, we would never let a convicted killer "die" in such a way".....infact, we would have the Hollywood elite throwing parties on their behalf.....
we can't descend this low without paying a price....
hope and prayers for Terri, and our country.....
No offense intended at all. I just figured most realized all of this could be too late. My apologies if it came out wrong.
"The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta agreed to consider a motion by attorneys for Bob and Mary Schindler on the issue that a Tampa federal judge should have considered the entire state court record and not just the procedural history when he ruled against the family.
The attorneys said they were raising the procedural issue now because they have had time to conduct further research on the issues "and have become convinced that the District Court committed plain error when it reviewed only the state court case and outcome history."
The lawyers argued that federal courts should base their ruling on the facts of the case rather than rule on whether a Florida state court was justified in its ruling. There was no time frame for the court to consider the motion."
Just like Hitlery is going to try and do in '08--paint herself as a "conservative in spirit", or at least a "moderate".
That being said, I hope Terri is okay. After 13 days, though, what kind of damage, irrepairable damage, has been done to her?
So sad.
Amen!
Jesse Jackson might just be the hero on this one, I will give him his Kudos if his efforts will be shown to be what saved Terri
I was simply restating what this would imply, if it happened to you.
There are implications for what we are doing today, and we must think about them in detail.

Who is he ?
You're joking right .. courts never move that fast.
Agreed.
Maybe the wives of some of the judges told their husbands they would not have sex with a man who would murder an innocent woman.
