Thankfully, Terri is probably the only one who is being denied to have water pass into her mouth as a result of a court order by a corrupt judge following the manipulations of a bigamous husband.
Yes. You are about to see it happen.
It isn't like we haven't earned it, in full measure.
That's an excellent source for Schiavo case news. They really have the inside scoop.
Too bad they don't allow us to link to them.
The incestuous relationships, politically speaking, between Felos, many FL judges, the board members (past and present) of Florida Suncoast, the leaders of the United Fund, etc. etc. etc. point to a wicked web of deceit deeply entrenched there.
Here's just a little bit to whet the appetite of Terri's supporters:
*******
Jay Wolfson, the guardian ad litem for Terri appointed by Greer in late 2003 as part of the Executive Order issued by Gov. Bush, and who served for approximately 30 days,
works with Michael Bell, Hospice vice president of Development and Community Relations, and Labyak. Wolfson is the main investigator and administers the Florida Family Aids Network, which is listed by the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast as one of their programs, through one of their divisions, the Aids Service Association of Pinellas, or ASAP. Bell and Labyak have on the board of the Aids Service Association of Pinellas and so Wolfson has been working with them since 1998, according to informed sources.
Wolfson wrote reports biased towards Michael Schiavo and filed them with Greer, recommending that Terri be given swallowing tests, a recommendation that Greer denied. Wolfson has now appeared on television, trying to persuade the public that Michael Schiavo was a wonderful guardian, and that Wolson is speaking as an independent guardian ad litem.
Michael Bell, is now on the board of a foundation that had the guardian ad litem program of Sixth Circuit Court as a client. The previous director of the guardian ad litem program for the Sixth Circuit is now General Master for Judge Greer's probate court, informed sources say.
This Foundation, MAP, or "Management Assistance Program" was reportedly started and is funded and partnered by the Conn Memorial Foundation and the United Way of Tampa Bay. Judge Chris Altenbernd, chief justice of 2nd District Court of Appeals, who has written all dissenting DCA opinions in Terri's case, is on the board of the Conn Memorial Foundation.
Martha Lenderman, former chair of the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, was on the board of the United Way of Tampa Bay from 2001 until just a few weeks ago. Now Bell is on the board of MAP along with Sheffield Crowder, who is Judge Altenbernd's fellow trustee at the Conn Memorial Foundation. The MAP has among its clients, the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast,. Conn Memorial Foundation and United Way of Tampa Bay.
This would seem to indicate that Judge Altenbernd has been in relationships with individuals with the hospice which would appear to be relationships prohibiting his involvement in the Schiavo case and certainly ethically restrict him from authoring the repeated denials in the Schindlers appeals to the DCA. This would indicate that Altenbernd is now in a financial and contractual relationship with one of Felo's associates at the hospice who was also an associate of Terri's guardian ad litem and who was with the End-of-Life Panel that wrote the laws for the Florida legislature giving Michael Schiavo the legal authority to remove Terri's feeding tube.
Then you'd have to worry about us locals. The police aren't there to persecute those tourists...they are there to protect them from the people who live here, and who are not real pleased about having this circus going on.
Dear sinkspur,
I guess we shoulda sent ol' Rosa Parks to the slammer for a good long time for breakin' those laws, huh?
Listen to yourself. These men have been charged to enforce a patently unjust court order. NOT A LAW, NOT A STATUTE, but a COURT ORDER by a PROBATE JUDGE, for pete's sake. They are charged with preventing anyone from preventing the murder of Terri Schiavo.
These officers are little else but armed thugs. They have no more excuse for their actions than anyone else participating in murder under the excuse of "I was just following orders."

And they removed her feeding tubes and created the pain that caused need in their opinion, for morphine.
There will be an ultimate battle and you have proven you are on the proper side. It is my pleasure to stand with you.
One at a time, until every officer in the department has his hands full. hehehe
Dear cookcounty,
"Is it just me, or is the whole Florida judicial/police complex made up of morons?"
My own experience suggests that they are more corrupt than they are morons. But they're pretty big morons, too.

"...Almost 30 years ago, a 21-year-old named Karen Ann Quinlan lapsed into a persistent vegetative state after drinking too much alcohol and taking Valium at a party. Karens parents waged a legal battle for the right to remove their daughters life support. And they eventually succeeded.
But Karen continued to breath after the respirator was unplugged and remained in a coma for almost 10 years until her death in 1985. Karen would have been 51 years old next week..."
So who was it really for?
I really find these useless public displays to be disingenuous and self-serving.
So I'll just sit here on my fat ass and criticize anybody who tries to make a difference.
Your attitude sucks, Jorge
The jail complex, which is located on 48 acres of land in Central Pinellas County, provides daily housing and care for over 3,000 inmates and operates on a budget of $78 million dollars (FY 2002/2003). 1,231 professional members, consisting of 812 certified detention staff and 419 medical and support staff, are currently assigned to the Bureau. In 2003, 49,891 individuals were processed by personnel with an average length of stay being 23 days. The current total capacity of the entire jail facility is 3,119 beds making our jail system one of the largest in the State of Florida
"Thankfully, Terri is probably the only one who is being denied to have water pass into her mouth as a result of a court order by a corrupt judge following the manipulations of a bigamous husband..."
...while her devoted family watches helplessly as she withers away.
I side with you on this.
Law exists to induce and encourage moral behavior.
In this case, protecting Terri is the moral behavior. If someone acting under color of authority says otherwise, then that was unfortunate, but should not dissuade someone from acting morally.
Protecting Terri is the ultimate good.
German Nazis were held accountable for following bad laws at Nuremberg. "I was just following the law" is no excuse for immoral behavior.
You're assuming he'll be convicted.
I would, and add it to my resume.
Amen
The futility of these symbolic arrests has been greatly argued for by some. The greater nature of chivalry, however imparts an imperative to care for the weak and disabled within our society, even at our own detriment. In this manner we resepect the professor's actions and equate them with Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jnr. other heroes of civil rights.
The professor has also answered the Aquinian call to disregard unjust laws, those which do not comport with the laws of God; also echoed in King's 'Letter from a Birmingham Jail'.
The excuses of the 'legal holocaust' are morally unacceptable; consider the precedents of Nuremberg.
The wilingness of the peaceful protestors, in this case, is impressive.
The Burkianism never applied more:
"All that is required for evil to triumph is that good men do nothing".
May we be judged in history as a generation that did not 'do nothing', but as one which stood for the sanctity of human life, and against the imposition of a Nazi Regime in this one nation under God.
Washington, DC: In response to the latest denial of the Federal courts to save the life of Terri Schiavo, Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, issued the following statement: "No court, either in the United States or anywhere else, has the authority to authorize the starvation of a human being. Exactly ten years ago today, Pope John Paul II issued the following words in his document "The Gospel of Life": ' Laws which authorize and promote euthanasia are completely lacking in authentic juridical validity. A civil law authorizing euthanasia ceases by that very fact to be a true, morally binding civil law' (#72)."The Terri Schiavo case has demonstrated that we are being governed by unelected judges, and that the legislative and executive branches of government lack the will to stand up to them when they authorize acts of violence. The matter, therefore, now rests with the people. When government fails to protect life, the people must do so directly. Today must mark the beginning of a new era of civil disobedience and conscientious objection, with simultaneous, determined efforts to curb the authority of the courts and restore government to the people through their elected representatives."
Yes, I do advocate lawlessness in the face of lawlessness.
