First, God never choose to hurt mankind, He gives us free choice to make a decision which may hurt mankind. According to the bible, we had the perfect society with Adam and Eve but through their sins we now have free will to chose but a price comes with that. Everyone may not chose as you would.
Secondly, to dislike the problems on earth does not make you a bad "person"- it makes you human. In my opinion you could be a weak christian lacking faith in Gods greater purpose. All christians know there is a greater plan and we are told that we must all be ready because we are all of this earth and this earth includes satan and his workers. That does not mean we cannot shed tears at what we perceive as a misjustice but we must step back and remember that God is in control and has the final word on everything.
Finally, if all things were good would there be a need to praise God? We would never know how fortunate we are. Most often people are drawn closer to God when they experience pain or hurt. This often leads many to Him.

RE: "Making many freepers see this is like making a baby eat spinach. Hard to do and sometimes you get spit on."

Don't I know it. Sometimes I think that if it weren't for FreeRepublics unparallelled range of topics, admirable street activism and the speed with which they report the news to us that I would leave the ste once and for all.

Man, but te d----bags do turn out on here.

RE: "I for one disliked him....AMF"

Just because I refuse to damn his soul to Hell with a vocal minority of idiots on this thread doesn't mean that I (in any way) liked or admired Cochran.

I agree with you. Good old Wild Bill has been registered for 5 whole days at FR and keeps spouting off his hate for many. No wonder people think the site is being taken over by the fringe mentality.

He made millions suing LAPD for phony "racial discrimination" cases. He played the "race card" at every chance, and literally dominated the weak minded Ito. He was a slick, perspicacious shyster lawyer.

Do you mean "liberal" or do you just not know the difference?

Yeah, this "pray for his family" stuff is an absurd joke.
It blurs the distinctions between decent and indecent opponents -- between weak men and evil men. Johnnie Cochran was very nearly an evil man. I will shed no tears for him, nor will I waste time and engage in moral obfuscation by offering tender words.

"number one of them was not fighting the moving of the trial from West LA to Downtown Los Angeles."

The fix was in The prosecution knew they didn't have a chance downtown. OJ should have been tried by a jury of his peers....rich white people in Brentwood.

RE: "First, God never choose to hurt mankind"

Mankind did not create the Tsunami, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and other dangerous weather phenomena with no purposeful, useful cause of occurrance to mankind. These are called "acts of God" for a reason.

RE: "He gives us free choice to make a decision which may hurt mankind. According to the bible, we had the perfect society with Adam and Eve but through their sins we now have free will to chose but a price comes with that. Everyone may not chose as you would."

But what did you or me, or ANY of us currenty living on this planet have to do about that? That always seemed like God carrying out the cosmic equivalent of those people who want the current generation of whites to pay reparations for the Civil War-era sins of their fathers.

RE: "All christians know there is a greater plan and we are told that we must all be ready because we are all of this earth and this earth includes satan and his workers. That does not mean we cannot shed tears at what we perceive as a misjustice but we must step back and remember that God is in control and has the final word on everything."

Of course God has the final word on everything and His way will pan out eventually, I know that. I know that the spiritual body (the soul) will come to understand why all the misery on Earth was necessary after the Judgement Day, But the Human, earthly me cannot connect with these words. They seem hollow, like excuses for human ignorance or someting. While my brain understands that everything that God does is right, I don't think my heart will ever truly accept that on this earth.

RE: "Finally, if all things were good would there be a need to praise God? We would never know how fortunate we are."

Good point, and I much prefer being my complicated self to being some kind of single-minded drone of a heavenly being like the Angels are. Even God got bored of them after awhile.

RE: "Most often people are drawn closer to God when they experience pain or hurt. This often leads many to Him."

Physical pain has always drawn me a little closer to God, but emotional pain can be overbearing and unstoppable sometimes-- and I'll admit that it has inspired the opposite reaction from me in the past. Example: I try to pray every night, but when my parents bitterly divorced when I was 15 I was far too resentful of the situation God had presented me and (especially) my siblings with to remember to thank Him for what I did have. Same thing after the death of my much loved Grandfather.

I will go over the edge and call him evil, as he drew no such distinction between good and evil in his life. The accolades and praise this wretch is getting on this thread is appaling!!

RE: "Do you support johnny cockroach who got OJ off through lies, and racism while defiling the court system????
Do you support reparations??
Do you support jury nulifications based on race??
you sound like a libertarian ....right??
just wondering!"

Let's put this out as clearly as I can for you.

NO, I never supported Johnny Cochran or his race-baiting tactics. I thought then and think now that O.J. Simpson was guilty of those two murders.

NO, I don't believe in dressing my dislike for him in wild hyperboly such as "He was Evil" and "He's going to Hell".
Only God decides who goes to Hell, not us. Cochran was not a murderer, a rapist, or a terrorist. He was simply a defense lawyer trying to do his job to get his client off the hook (a necessary function in our criminal justice system), but a little sleazier than most.

NO, I don't support reparations.

YES, I don't support jury nullification based upon race, except when said jurors are proven to have a previous bias against the race of said defendant. I do support the right of the defendant to have his fate decided by "a jury of his peers" (meaning fellow Americans), regardless of race or religion.

I AM NOT a Libertarian, though I would be if they weren't so dead set on supporting abortion and the weakening of our Borders. I probably agree with Libertarians on more social issues than many (most) of my fellow Republicans, though.

Thanks for visiting my homepage, and do come again.

RE: "Do you mean "liberal" or do you just not know the difference?"

There's a HUGE difference between the two "L"'s of course, but many FReepers don't seem to know it. The unofficial motto of the FReeper majority is "Tow the line...or else".

Time to countdown the number of posts until I get the old "FR Founders statement" BS that the clones of JimRob trudge out every time someone disagree with them on one or two issues.
