Hi Capt, I agree with what you wrote about Cochran.
My post was simply a joke.....you know, a joke...funny haha. As if FReepers will talk about ME when I die! Ha!

I respected Cochrane. I thought he was an intelligent, committed man, driven by a genuine desire to do good, and no matter how I may have disagreed him, I felt he did his job professionally and respectfully.
But I still can't resist...

RE: "Spoken like a true, frustrated Leftist"
You forgot to call me "part of the problem, not the solution". Tsk, tsk-- you get docked 5 points on your "Fascist test".
Guilty until Proven innocent isn't a conservative motto, Z.
Believing in the U.S. Constitution's protections against the prosecution of American citizens without adequate defense counsel also isn't a liberal position.
You're kind of jackboot, Big-government, cops-are-God rhetoric is precisely the reason I defend my Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms so virulently.

My exhusband, my sister and two friends. Maybe because of this I notice it more. It just seems that you hear that a lot more now than before.

Thank you. It's sad that my view seems to be unpopular on FReep, of all places!

Sorry,
I usually end with a "</sarcasm>" or "</joke>" to help the thick skulls like myself! My bad if I missed it or didn't understand.

Now there may be fewer murderers and child molesters walking among us.

Granted there are always some that are over-the-top everywhere. But our few "baddies" can't hold a candle to the pure, venomous hate that inhabits DU and the extreme left. They can't tolerate defeat and being out of power, and are infact a dangerous lot.

No problem, we agree. Thats cool.

I would've wanted Johnny Cochran to be my lawyer. I'll take Bruce Cutler over Cochran every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Many defense attorneys would say that vigorously defending guilty people strengthens the system by forcing the police and courts to be more diligent. This results in greater protection for the innocent who might be falsely accused. One might sleep at night after getting off a murderer believing there was a greater good served, but pulling the race card where it clearly had nothing to do with anything set back race relations in this country by leaps and bounds. If he's not in hell he will be a long time in purgatory making up for that one.

Lawyers lie for a living, and this one is famous for it. Just because someone died, I'm not gonna' suddenly say good things about someone whom I didn't respect.
My first thought was that Dante put many of his political enemies in his Inferno, and many of them were lawyers.
NOTE: I don't think it's "class" to honor those whom I believe were not honorable.
