A woman who bit down on a partial finger served in a bowl of chili at a Wendy's restaurant in California said she was disgusted by the experience while her attorney has filed a claim with the franchise owner.
Anna Ayala, 39, of Las Vegas, was dining at the Wendy's in San Jose, Calif., on March 22 when officials said she scooped up the inch-and-a-half long fingertip in a mouthful of chili.
"Just knowing that there was a human remain in my mouth ... it is disgusting. It is tearing me apart inside," Ayala told ABC's "Good Morning America" on Monday.

Something seems wrong here but I can't quite put my finger on it.
Now, the guy who lost his finger, OTOH . . .
I remember there was some similar case that turned out to be a hoax. Needles in the Pepsi cans?
Mom always said you never know where it's been.
LOL
I saw a report that said the finger was not cooked. so it was added either at the store, or didn't get (re)heated up enough to cook it
I like Wendy's chili but don't know if I can ever eat it again. I will forever have the image of a finger in it in my mind. blech!
Three "sick"s? "human race"? Yep, she's scammin'
Yes, it must have been very upsetting but I don't think she deserves millions or hundreds of thousands of dollars over it.
Somebody got a finger off someone who isn't around to complain and placed it in the chili. Now, the only place that I know of that has an abundance of unwanted fingers laying around that nobody is going to miss would be a crematorium or a mortuary. I suspect this lady has some connection to someone who is in the business.
Now that this lady is alleging to be entitled to millions for her anxiety, I say we need to follow the money. If we do that, it most likely leads right to the lady making the claim.
I say we strap her to a lie detector or maybe let Jack Bauer work on her for a few hours.
A person who is about to get cremated.
I once bit into a gizzard at a KFC (yes there are people who eat those things....and liver, too...quit smiling!) -- anyway, it had not been cleaned.
I ended up with a mouth full of feathers and other unmentionable things that were inside that gizzard.
Too bad I didn't have you as a lawyer at the time. I took it up to the lady at the counter. She apologized....I gave up eating for the rest of the day.
It was a truly gross experience.
Now I hear they owe me money. :>)
People pay Jenny Craig thousands of dollars to help them not eat for the rest of the day. Maybe you should send KFC a check.
Probably if they match the DNA of the finger, it'll match the DNA 'supposed victim's" relative.
Yes Im cynical.
I see this as a plot to get rich.

The human finger found in a bowl of chili at a San Jose Wendy's might not have been cooked with the chili and could have been snuck in later in the preparation process, Santa Clara County officials said Friday.
"We're still going to have to sit down with our crime lab experts and see if there's a test that can determine that," said Bob Dixon, a sheriff's office captain who is assigned to the coroner's office.
Working with ingredients shipped to the San Jose Wendy's, employees normally assemble ground hamburger meat with canned sauce, seasoning and beans, plus chopped frozen celery, onions and green peppers, then cook the whole mix for four to six hours.
"The possibilities are still all out there on where and when it came into the chili," said Dr. Martin Fenstersheib, Santa Clara County's health officer

What kinda trial lawyer could hear a story like that and not see millions of Chicken dollars funding their child's education at Harvard or Yale!?
An insurance defense lawyer like.... me.
It doesn't need defense....I agree it's a good idea. :>)
She still flinches at the memory of the cannibalistic mishap, which occurred when she was at the Monterey Highway eatery preparing to drop off her in-laws after a trip to Mexico.
``It's a taste I have never tasted in my whole life,'' she said.

In another interview she said it just was crunchy and didnt know what it was. hmmmm
