This is outrageous. Did anybody see his press conference? A reported asked him if it was in the best interest of the UN if he stepped down and Kofi responded " Hell no" ...please can we get rid of this guy.
I ALMOST WISH BUSH WOULD TELL THE UN...IT'S EITHER US (AMERICA) OR KOFI.....

There's a time to talk and a time to "Dummy Up".

I think Annan should stay, as a shining example of the corruption inherent to gobble grubbamint.

Couple this "Hell no" with the statement a few weeks ago from a UN official about reconstruction of the UN "We are not in the mood",I think they are just asking for a trip to the woodshed.

Secretary-General Kofi Annan didn't influence the awarding of a $10 million annual contract to a Swiss company that employed his son. The way I heard it reported was that there was no binding evidence that Annan had influenced....etc. And that the report was quite critical of Annan, even though it couldn't bind him directly to any crimes or misdemeanors.
SPIN ALERT!

Annan is a joke! That's exactly why he needs to stay. Annan has done a great job discrediting the UN.
Kofi, carry on.

The United Nations is a criminal organisation that brokers deals between dictators and despots and skirts the law by claiming some nebulous humanitarian mission. The War on Terror is meaningless until they get the true facilitators, and the UN qualifies as just that.

Yeah, right. Bush won't even choose United States citizens over illegal invaders from Mexico, much less call the UN in to account. Bush is missing two very important pieces of anatomy for this sort of thing, IMO.
