Police are beefing up their presence in the Northeast Philadelphia neighborhood of Michael Schiavo's sister-in-law after the woman received a death threat.
Northeast detectives say a man yelled "Murderer" from his car around 7am Monday as the sister-in-law of Michael Schiavo was leaving her house. Northeast Detectives sergeant Andy Smith spoke with the woman whose name and address are being withheld. He then read a statement the woman gave police quoting what the man allegedly said:
" 'If anything happens to Terri, I'm going to shoot you and your whole family.' "
How is she handling the threat?
"She was upset, but she was very graceful."
Smith says Michael Schiavo's sister-in-law didn't see any weapon. He says extra police will be patrolling the woman's neighborhood.
Stupid.
Helps the cause like Peter "helped" in the Garden with his sword.
True or table setting? I don't trust the Shiavos to break an egg.
Can't point fingers, don't know if it's true and if it is, who is responsible.
The MSM, in all their objectivity, will blame the Religious Right.
Seriously, why are they going to the media to announce this?
Oh for crying out loud.
This is getting out of hand -- anytime you have Randall Terry stirring the pot who knows what will happen. Some of these protestors won't even listen to Terri's parents when they asked them to leave the hospice.
I believe this. Both sides have gotten threats. Its not just one sided here. There are nutty people on both sides.
I know - one of them even got into a shouting match with Terri's Brother. They should respect the Family's wishes.
~sigh
Randall Terry is the kiss of death for people who are trying to do the right thing. He's the Larry Klayman of the right-to-life movement.
LOL I was waiting for the popcorn. That is one of the cutest smileys!
There was a very positive articles in Sunday's Inquirer about several Christian students from Messiah College who saved the life of an NC State Stduent who was suffering from hypothermia without realizing it. It talked about all the students (even the secular ones) praying. Very surprising for the Inquirer. When I looked to see who wrote it, I saw that was a Christine Schiavo. I wondered if she belonged to Michael's family and, being the cynic I am, wondered if it was the media's way of trying to redeem the image of this family.
One side claims to be pro-life(as long as you agree
with us).
In Philly???
The town that went for John Kerry ???
You have that right and who is there with Randall Terry -- Larry Klayman and now they are being joined by Jesse Jackson -- what a trifecta!
I wonder if she is one of the Schiavo relatives who backed up Michael's story about Terri not wanting to be kept alive.
