PS So some humans are not "people?" Are we going back to the Dred Scott decision? I thought the 14th Amendment addressed that.

The precedent was established with Roe v. Wade. The logic is following inexorably.

Look at how we refer to some people -- we say they are in a "permanent vegitative state.

Some folks over on DU have taken to calling Terri "the turnip".

It's not too much different from how some refer to unborn human children -- some refer to them as "parasites" or "blobs of cells".
