I felt this article belonged in extended news because of the import as well as avoidance of it by the MSM. However, I still started posting it in the REL FORUM. Alas, that window got closed somehow in Firefox and when I went back to try and recover, the best I could seem to do was open a new posting window--which turned out to be this one for some odd reason. I still think it belongs in extended news. Of course higher and wiser powers than I are welcome to decide otherwise.

I did a search and came up with zip previously.

Certainly the author has plenty of credibility, in my opinion.

Prayer is in order for such ministries and moves of God. God's Spirit and power, work equal the only force that can truly counter the satanic forces infecting and using Islam so destructively around the world.

I think the conversion to Christianity is an easy decision to make. Christianity doesn't require extremism as a form of devotion, it doesn't require hatred, and it doesn't require murder and suicide.

In Afghanistan, for example, there were only 17 known evangelical Christians in the country before al-Qaeda attacked the United States. Today, the number of Afghan Christians is in the thousands and growing quickly.

This makes all the deaths worthwhile and then some. If the angels in heaven rejoice over one redeemed soul . . . Praise God.

And new Believers willing to lay down their lives for Christ, one another and for a hurting world is the opposite of Jihadi's.

Dying that others might live is totally different from dying that more may die.

At least for a time.

The darkness is coming. But God is raising up His Standard ever higher and clearer.

The dark is getting darker and the light getting lighter.

Praise God for His faithfulness.

THOSE WHO EARNESTLY SEEK HIM SHALL FIND HIM.

Such numbers are difficult to verify,

They surely are, because they are fantasy, no matter how much we might wish it.

Ah, but you're forgetting that conversion from Islam to any other faith puts one under sentence of death.

In Afghanistan, for example, there were only 17 known evangelical Christians in the country before al-Qaeda attacked the United States. Today, the number of Afghan Christians is in the thousands and growing quickly.

Church leaders say Afghan Muslims are open to hearing the gospel message like never before. Dozens of baptisms occur every week. People are snatching up Bibles and other Christian books as fast as they can be printed or brought into the country. The Jesus film, a two hour docudrama on the life of Christ based on the Gospel of Luke”was even shown on television in one city before police shut down the entire TV station.

"God is moving so fast in Afghanistan, we're just trying to keep up," one Afghan Christian worker told me, requesting anonymity. "The greatest need now is leadership development. We need to train pastors to care for all these new believers."

Anyone know how to help?

I think the conversion to Christianity is an easy decision to make. Christianity doesn't require extremism as a form of devotion, it doesn't require hatred, and it doesn't require murder and suicide.

Unless you are a Muslim (it becomes a death sentence), or an Orthodox Jew (you are considered as dead and your family disowns you), or Hindu (you are outcast), etc... There are even some "Christian" denominations and sects that ostracize their estranged members when they change their affiliations. Granted becoming a Christian is an easy "decision" to make, but to truly live the life of a Christian is often the hardest thing to do.

I'm gonna look into the SAMARITAN'S PURSE in the web and donate to this worthy cause!

I'm glad you perservered in getting this posted! Great article. Fact is, it will be former muslims who have converted to Christianity who will be most effective in spreading the word of the Lord.

Mostly no, they are, essentially, not fantasy.

They are probably conservative.

The folks doing the estimating are close to the ground and know what they are talking about.

I ran into similar estimating discourses about China. Any serious efforts at any kind of estimating accuracy has proven most early estimates to be conservative.

But, hey, if you have a habit of being dismissive, who am I to try and change you.

Zero credibility, in my opinion.
Not in a cess pit where apostasy means death.

You were right. This belongs in "Religion".
