Adam and Eve faced a similar problem. They became so preoccupied with one plant in their garden paradise that they couldn't see the forest for the tree. Just look at what it cost them. The Garden of Eden had been created especially for them. In it they knew no evil, no trials, no sickness, no death. They enjoyed the company of the Creator Himself. Yet they gave up everything they had-just to eat the fruit of that one forbidden tree. Their mistake still plagues us. How often do we miss the whole forest of God's goodness for a single tree of testing? The moment of temptation seems so overwhelming, the idea so irresistible, our twisted logic so justifiable. Think about all that Adam and Eve left behind in the Garden. Fill your mind with the truths of God's Word and rely on the Holy Spirit's moment-by-moment guidance and strength. Then you'll experience the lasting joy of God's blessing rather than temporary pleasure. -Mart De Haan
Seek God with your whole heart (Psalm 119:9-16). Listen to wisdom (Proverbs 8:1-11). Resist the devil; draw near to God (James 4:7-8). Your response to temptation will make you or break you.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that actually enjoys the slow loading of the threads because of dial up :)
Good morning all.
My computer chose to take a nose dive on me Sunday night so I am currently sharing my daughter's which hubby moved to my "office" this morning. Poor man tried so hard to fix it for me yesterday morning and again when he got home from work, to no avail.
At least we were able to determine it was not a user failure or a hard drive failure (thank goodness for that)......but as hubby said - he can't poop parts - so he got online last night and ordered a new motherboard, processor and assorted other things for it.
As I was not online yesterday - I hope everyone had a lovely Easter.
Thanks, Pippin ... it's good to be back.
Wonderful news! May God be with her as she recovers.
I will !
Welcome home, hope you said Hi to all my relatives over there. Never been there myself..
Thank you Meg!
Good morning, sweet ((Billie)). I've been missing all of you and your fine post. The reason is that I was in a car accident last Monday. My computer at home is down (getting a new laptop this week) and I had to wait until I came back to work to get caught up. I don't think that will happen any time soon but just wanted to let you all know. Other than a few bruises, I'm doing OK. And, I'm glad to be back.
Thank God you are OK, computers can be replaced, you can't..
Hi Rus. You be sure to spoil that precious wife of your. Glad to hear she did well with the surgery.
Howdy Texagirl. Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad is was not serious and glad to have you back!
Hi sistah. Can't believe its time for another Hall of Fame thread. Where is the time going????? Got your freepmail. You'll have mail in a second. ((((billie)))))
A kite contest should keep all those idle paws busy. And just think.....no hi-line wires for the kites to get caught in. :)
Hi, Pippin - saw your note the other day about boycotting everything but the Dose and the Finest. There are some real doozies out there, aren't there.
