How many of you who are critical of Gov. Bush or President Bush gave up your jobs to fight for Terri? How many of you got arrested to fight for Terri?
That is what you are demanding of them- yet very, very few of you went that far.
We need to quit blaming every one else and look in the mirror. Where have we been while these judges got so much power? Where were we when all of these laws were passed?
I admit I was asleep- I will hold all those who stood against Terri responsible, and I will do all in my power to get rid of them.
I will not hold those responsible who did anything at all to help.
The next time we ask for help- who will answer if we turn on our own?
Until we stand together and fight for what is right- we can not expect to have any leader stick out their neck to do so. We will not get the kind of leader who will go that far until they know they have enough support to make it work.
Flame me if you wish- but at least think about what I say and sleep on it. In the morning take a good look in the mirror and ask if YOU did enough, stop blaming everyone else, especially those who did try.
Why should I trust some computer 'expert' like you who claims to have all the answers, hmmmmm, ohioWfan? I heard Bork speak on this. Don't try to snow me about it.
well take heart, you have conducted yourself well, I disagree with you, but you are (as best I can tell) a class act.
Snow you about it? Explain please.
By the way, nice to hear from you again. You are also right about the PR aspect.
That's not even accurate not to mention that there's a mountain more suspicious problems with the case. It's disgusting to hear you trivialize the case like that as Terri is being murdered.
Well said, no flames from me :)
I do believe that Jesus clearing the moneylenders from the temple was "vigilantism".
Jeez.....we haven't had a thread about THEM for quite a while. Don't get them started!
That's not the plan. The plan is: to make judges gods. This episode only furthers the mission. When conditions are ripe, you'll see a total confiscation of 'arms' among 'the people'.
Not too brilliant, are you?
There are at least two attorneys on this very thread who disagree with the "Jeb should shoot first, ask questions later, and if he had any cajones, he would" crowd - and yet, they remain undeterred.
I suppose we should be comforted by the sheer predictability of it, if nothing else.
agree.
No, it hasn't. He has been more actively involved in saving Terri's life than any President has ever been involved in this kind of situation (this is not the first, you know.......it's just the most publicized).
No President has ever been more openly, and legislatively pro-life than President Bush. Shooting him for not doing enough is self-defeating and stupid.
If you value LIFE, you will continue to support this President.
(Pardon me for being female, but don't you guys equate 'balls' with bravery? What's the difference between them? I agree that Janet was not exactly feminine, but braver than the President?? Gimme a break!)
Yes that and Jeb's Dog and Pony show press conference pissed a lot of people off. Ya know if you don't mean it, particularly in a life and death case like this, just keep your mouth shut. Some intentionally, some not, played polictics with a women life. They are the ones taking the most of the heat and they deserve it.
Where do I start...first and foremost my fellow citizen we are a nation of laws.
Based on our legal structure the Judicial and Executive Branch (local or federal), will have to observe the Legislative's Branch MADE laws on the books.
The Legislature made of (State and/or Federal House of Representative and respectively the Senate) is the only Legal Body who makes the Law of the Land.
The Governor of Florida is not following the Orders of Pinellas County Judge, BUT what was written in the Florida's Law in regards to this very unfortunate issue.
Prez. Bush and his brother Jeb Bush are not KINGS, they still have to follow the rule of laws as written and not trample on state rights, trying to please zealots who wish otherwise.
We as Republicans, have to guard our Constitution and the rule of Law, else we will join the Banana Republic of Mexico!
You've been reading the anarchist weekly too much.
No, the people have to keep the pressure on Congress regarding the outrage of this and the Judicial branch needs some more limitations.
The thing is, Congress ordered Terri before them TODAY I think. So what became of Congress and that?
Is Greer in contempt of Congress and will he be?
