Wow, what a horrible situation to find yourself in. There had to be a very clear moment of realization not long after landing on that ledge above the flu that you were going to die there. It would have to dawn on you the minute you were stuck. And then, a long slow death. Terrible.

That reminds me of the news a couple years ago where they found one who died about 25 years ago. He tried to rob a building and the chimney had been closed off. It was late Friday or early Sat. morning, so nobody could hear him scream.
Another Darwin award winner!

When I was a youngin and sold steam specialties, I called on the Abilene (Texas) State (Mental) Hospital, and the Maintenance Superintendant told a story about the water tasting real bad, and when they finally checked the water tower.
They found a dead body and two skeletons.
