I don't want to be a hotlinker, but no matter which side of this you're on, you'll have to admit that this is the funniest take on this case yet - and it's aimed squarely at us.

when irrationality happens, people call for Marines to storm a hospice.Or as here, in fact, a Judge issues a bunch of orders to the local police department to make sure someone dies...and flips the bird at both the Florida State legislature, and the U.S. Congress...and Florida's DCF. Doesn't want de novo review. Doesn't want to wait. Doesn't feel that he should reopen, despite a welter of knowledgeable affidavits that demonstrate contrary to his rulings there are seriously suspicious circumstances, and hope for Terri's condition.
H'mmmm. In other words, it is okay for him to "storm the hospice" with his troops, but no one is ever allowed to check him if his fellow black-robed wonders don't feel like reversing him? Naaah, Doesn't sound too emotional to me.

With exceptions from what I have read on FR we have on the whole been supportive of Terri's right to live. I do not think this characterizes FR. That is not to say that some freepers are not brain dead (not to mention heart dead) on the issue.

That's what it looks like when people argue with knee-jerk emotionalism.

"True, this reminds me of the scene in the movie 'It's a Beautiful Life', where the German women is talking oh so calm and well spoken about how much money the state would save by 'elimination' the useless feeders. Very rational, very cool, no emotion, just hard facts."
no joke, i get shivers thinking about that one.
