when irrationality happens, people call for Marines to storm a hospice.

Or as here, in fact, a Judge issues a bunch of orders to the local police department to make sure someone dies...and flips the bird at both the Florida State legislature, and the U.S. Congress...and Florida's DCF. Doesn't want de novo review. Doesn't want to wait. Doesn't feel that he should reopen, despite a welter of knowledgeable affidavits that demonstrate contrary to his rulings there are seriously suspicious circumstances, and hope for Terri's condition.

H'mmmm. In other words, it is okay for him to "storm the hospice" with his troops, but no one is ever allowed to check him if his fellow black-robed wonders don't feel like reversing him? Naaah, Doesn't sound too emotional to me.

did I say it was ok? Didn't think so, so let's not ASSume ok?

None of this means the judges are right. It does show that A) the crappy law that says a feeding tube is life support needs to be repealed and B) Judicial reforms are well well well overdue.

But calling for violence (thankfully the mods have pulled every POS post that has called for that), marines storming the hospice (I do know of someone who was getting flamed because she said her cousins, who happen to be Marines, weren't coming home to "save Terri"), and then blaming and piling onto the only man who has kept Terri alive to this point in time (ahem Jeb Bush) has gotten to the point that quite a few people may not come back here.

And don't even get me started on the idolization of this poor woman either.

I can excuse people for getting emotional when they see a defenseless woman and her family get pissed on by a bunch of scumbags.Felos, the husband and the judge worked together like a team with the goal of killing Terry. If this case was handled more fairly and there wasn't so many shady rulings the anger over it would come from mostly religious people.
