Dow Jones News Reports at 11:39 "DJ Singapore Official: 7.5 Quake Hits Sumatra - Kyodo"
No other reports yet.
I'm through with the religious discussions on this thread. Go start a new one in Relgion and ping me, but I'm tired of the thread hijacking.
I must be typing funny....what he said was the three month period, June, July, August, with particular attention to July 21st. So, 45 days before and 45 days after....a 90 day window.
Well, if LA gets rocked this summer, and all the freepers start posting "how they deserved it" which is what will happen...you heard it here first.
Sigh. You're succeeding in baiting me into turning this thread into a discussion of religion instead of what happened today.
Look, even if you want to use the biblical account of the flood as a comparison, God gave the world decades of warning. It didn't come as a bolt out of the blue after some antediluvian court decision made Him mad over the weekend.
What about Fatima & other Marian Apparitions? Warnings are pretty clear & what we need to do to lessen & delay the Great Chastisement.
astute observations, imho.
like beauty . . .
it has often seemed abundantly clear hereon
"whacko"
is in the eye of the beholder.
well said.
I don't know how much clearer the NOAA Tsunami Center can say to you that THEY DO NOT PUT OUT WARNINGS FOR ANYTHING EXCEPT THE PACIFIC OCEAN.
It amazes me that facts mean nothing to people. There is NO measuring equipment in the Indian Ocean or around Indonesia. You can't predict tsunamis without accurate observed data.
Any statements the Tsunami Center makes about that area of the world are pure guesses at best and based on potential only. Warnings are confined to the Pacific.
Yawn.
Most of the poor people there are unable to receive communications even if there is proper warning. Only hope is that the time of day (11 PM) will have the folks off the beach. Prayers required.
I can't imagine what I said that set you off. I am sorry to have offended you so.
Very well said.
I much agree.
Thanks.
Of course, those overinflated with their own constructions on reality will dissmiss you in whatever way's most convenient and flattering to their own egos.
Good Evidence.... :)
Oh, the inanity. Not that I want to get into their silly and out-of-place discussion, but it was my understanding that God doesn't hold nations accountable. He holds people accountable. Plus, the fruitcakes are getting so nasty in tone, they're decidedly un-Christian in their demeanor. So who gives a rat what they're saying.
I just saw CalTech heavyweight Kerry-forgot-his-surname on KCBS television in an earlier interview. He said there most certainly has to have been tsunami activity, along certain facing beaches in Indonesia, etc.
Lots of lightening strikes everyday, too. Nature, or is God obsessed with zapping the planet?
I've made my decision and perhaps it doesn't fit the perspective of others. If we all agreed, this would be a boring forum.
God holds nations accountable too.
You might check out Jeremiah 46:28. But there are many Biblical examples of the point.
Certainly he holds individuals accountable.
Nations are 'mere' collections of individuals.
and of our collective choices.
Amen.
