One of the RCMP officers was a young rookie ... only on duty a few weeks ... his first posting after going thru basic. Not sure if that played any role in four officers being taken out by one gunman ... but it was a tragic day for all law enforcement.

Canadian citizens are the passive charges of the nanny state and that nanny needs to put more safety bars round the nursery.

Thanks to the magic of cable, I get Canadian news 24/7 (almost) and its a real eye-opener.

In this country ruled by socialist victimologists, they manage to find an endless line of victims who, eyes welling with tears and catch in throat, demand that the government do something about whatever it is the government hasn't yet gotten around to doing.
