Injury Report Prompted Schiavo Cremation Plans

Michael Schiavo decided to have his wife's body cremated after her parents' lawyers obtained medical records showing she had sustained broken bones, a nurse who cared for Terri Schiavo is now claiming.

"He wanted her cremated after the bone fractures and dislocations were found," nurse Carla Sauer Iyer, who cared for Terri in the mid-1990s while she was at the Palm Gardens Convalescent Center, told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity on Friday.

"He immediately went to court and [said he] wanted her body cremated at that time," she said, "after we got hold of the records that proved there were dislocations and fractures."

A 1991 report on a bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo states:

"There are an extensive number of focal abnormal areas ... These include: multiple bilateral ribs ... both sacroiliac joints ... both knees and both ankles."

Radiographs reveal "compression fractures" of the spine and right femur. ... "Compression fracture presumably traumatic," the report says.

Nurse Iyer said she recently contacted Palm Gardens to encourage co-workers who also cared for Terri to speak out - but said they have been muzzled.

"The administrator had gotten them together and they talked about what happened with Michael," Iyer told Hannity. "The people who have worked with Terri who are still there, they cannot talk to reporters - they would be terminated."

A warning..Already the Associated Press has put out a sympathy piece for Judge Greer. It is posted on foxnews.com. We are going to see the forgers in the MSM strongly attempt the psychological trick of transferring sympathy from the victim to the perpetrators today.

Along those lines!

Memogate Part Two (The Dubious “GOP Talking Points” Memo)

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1371673/posts

Please check this out!

**

When Dan Rather used fake memos to smear President Bush, bloggers blew the whistle and the rest of the media recognized a journalistic scandal. But coverage of the dubious “GOP Talking Points” memo on the Schiavo case has been far different.

Perhaps realizing that another phony document scandal could totally sink the credibility of the so-called mainstream media, there is great reluctance to admit that journalists from ABC News, the Washington Post, CBS News and other news organizations were taken in again, and that the Democrats played a dirty trick on the Republicans in a matter of life and death.

The significance of the memo cannot be underestimated. It surfaced at a time when Democrats were on the defensive about what to do in the Schiavo case. Would they allow a federal review of the case, as is routinely done for convicted killers facing the death penalty?

What better way was there to turn the table on the Republicans than by charging that they really didn’t care about Terri Schiavo but only wanted to fire up their conservative pro-life base? The “GOP Talking Points” memo fit the bill perfectly. It called the case “a great political issue” for the Republicans.

The entire matter just shows how evil and powerful and destructive to the country the old liberal/socialist media is!

The old media is the most evil and destructive force in this country.

"Insurance" and "Centzone" (the name of Michael Schiavo's live-in mistress) are both mispelled to make this entity difficult for any researcher or investigator to find.

Is this Terri's nonaudited malpractice award "trust fund" - which has actually been raided under the permission of Judge Greer by over $350,000 to pay the lawyers who are working to kill her?

Well, the legal standards for weighing evidence and drawing concliusion comprise only a few words. And being words, the standards are subject to interpretation.

There is no higher standard for weighing evidence in a civil trial. The law really does not want to get these facts wrong. But it can, it does, and then it sits around and smugly pontificates at its wisdom.

Doctor Michael Baden, the forensic pathologist, on Greta's show I think, said that even now an autopsy SHOULD be able to tell if her brain injury was caused by trauma.

I'd also like the autopsy to thoroughly examine the tissue surrounding those electrodes Michael had planted in her skull in Nov 1990. One theory goes that someone may have given her Electro Convulsive Shock to burn off some of her brain tissue.

However, if an amatuer did THAT, her convulsions would have been so violent, she would have gotten broken vertebrae, and broken bones, especially in places where she was held down like her ankles, knees, etc...

As an amateur courtwatcher I had the impression it's something like 2/3 certainty vs. 9/10. The civil court could afford to be looser (up to now) because the issues were over things like money and property, things which may hurt to lose, but one still lives. Now, the standard which was required to overturn Aunt Martha's will about who gets the antique coffee table, is being used to invalidate the LIFE of a profoundly disabled person.

That was very nicely said.

I am not quite as calm as you about it. I really hope the Lord takes care of the people who are doing this SOON.

Virtually as soon as Michael Schiavo received the monies from the medical malpractice claim involving his wife, Terri Schindler-Schiavo,
he withheld all therapy and rehabilitation services from her.

Terri Schiavo had sustained a serious brain injury as the result of a suspicious incident in their home in 1990 and in 1992,
her husband had filed claims against several of her former doctors, claiming her “collapse” was caused by a misdiagnosis.
He received over $1.5 million in 1993 including $750,000 which had been specifically earmarked by the trial jury for Terri’s rehabilitation based on a life expectancy of 50 years.
Mary and Bob Schindler Sr., her parents, consulted a St. Petersburg attorney about removing Michael Schiavo as their daughter’s guardian and discussed the case at length with him.
Unfortunately, the Schindlers did not have the amount of money the attorney demanded as a retainer to take the case.
That attorney became the judge in the case-----a totally prohibited conflict of interest.
Thereafter, the attorney-judge approved the hiring of George Felos as the attorney for Schiavo to be paid from the trust fund and the stage was set for her judicial homicide.
The judge wasn’t George W. Greer.
It was Mark I. Shames.

Please check this out. It was all one big lie to give the public the impression that the Republicans were in it for the politics....... and it worked, thanks to the prominent Republicans showing NO backbone. Republicans showed as much spine as spider silk waving in the wind.

I'm not calm about it. I just have a gift for using discretion in the written word. ;-)

I am grateful for that gift. And on this day after Easter, as I look at my sleeping children and stroke their little faces and backs, I am reminded of the sanctity and beauty of God-given life.

ANd then I read some FR to get all stressed-out =:-O

Maybe she had to type fast because Michael could have come home at any minute, and she was planning to 'pretend' to be asleep.

How DARE you question the wisdom and integrity of the system. A score of judges have agreed with Greer, this is as a matter of certain fact the right outcome. (/sarc)

'Twill be very interesting when Terri kicks the bucket and they are subpoenaed by Congress.

Sorry, but you're dreaming if you think Congress will do anything after Terri dies. Exposing anything would only make them, the prez, and his brother look worse for not doing more to save her from murder. Nope, it's almost time for "look the other way, folks, nothing to see here".

Michael (HINO - husband in name only) was coming home to check her odometer.

I believe that Tom DeLay will certainly try to stir up some, er, stuff. And then they'll be shocked, shocked that the system was so rickety and rotten, they will say they had no idea.

Or perhaps the issue is that Terri Schiavo is being euthanozed WITH DUE PROCESS ...

That is exactly the right legal framing. The courts have spoken, and the process was followed. Only 2 dissenting judges out of all who have been tasked with hearing the case and rendering an opinion.

This travesty is on the hands of a fat cut of the judicial system. I'd say the whole system, but that brush might be a little too broad.
