Michael Schiavo decided to have his wife's body cremated after her parents' lawyers obtained medical records showing she had sustained broken bones, a nurse who cared for Terri Schiavo is now claiming.
"He wanted her cremated after the bone fractures and dislocations were found," nurse Carla Sauer Iyer, who cared for Terri in the mid-1990s while she was at the Palm Gardens Convalescent Center, told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity on Friday.
"He immediately went to court and [said he] wanted her body cremated at that time," she said, "after we got hold of the records that proved there were dislocations and fractures."
A 1991 report on a bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo states:
"There are an extensive number of focal abnormal areas ... These include: multiple bilateral ribs ... both sacroiliac joints ... both knees and both ankles."
Radiographs reveal "compression fractures" of the spine and right femur. ... "Compression fracture presumably traumatic," the report says.
Nurse Iyer said she recently contacted Palm Gardens to encourage co-workers who also cared for Terri to speak out - but said they have been muzzled.
"The administrator had gotten them together and they talked about what happened with Michael," Iyer told Hannity. "The people who have worked with Terri who are still there, they cannot talk to reporters - they would be terminated."

As someone said on another thread, the only difference between Terri, and some retarded disabled child, is that Terri had a DEATH-FOR-PROFIT LAWYER assisting her ADULTEROUS, LYING HUSBAND in getting a RETIRING, GREEDY JUDGE to alter state statutes for Terri's particular condition.
That is called setting a PRECEDENT.
The only reason for setting a PRECEDENT is to be able to do it AGAIN, and AGAIN. If one judge can alter the law for one case, another judge can alter it to fit the next.

We'll have to agree to disagree about a few things you said, but I agree with one or two.
For instance, there's an article somewhere around that states the parents are tracking her eyes, not the other way around.

Here is public record of a qualified doctor stating that there is need for investigation. Since it is public record, that qualifies the circumstances in the ME's policy, prompting him to do an autopsy.
There are at least a DOZEN other circumstances which would cause an ME to feel the need to do any autopsy under the measures stated in that policy.
USA Today was the only MSM news source I have seen, so far, that qouted FELOS, word for word, instead of implying or stating that Michael requested the autopsy.
AS IF HE HAD ANY CHOICE.
Her family asked for an autopsy before, and yet, that does not matter.
Michael stated he wanted to wait until after she was killed to decide about the autopsy. Well, how long would he wait to decide that? After the cremation?
ALL of it is no different than the guy that offerred MICHAEL $10 million dollars to let Terri go to her parents care.
THAT CAME FROM FELOS, JUST LIKE THIS STATEMENT. You wouldn't have any proof the $10 million was valid offer, that FELOS wasn't LYING and FEEDING the media crap to make his client look good?

BTW. So far, have not found the link where I read that The ME had declared he would do an autopsy. It was when I was researching Joan Wood, and this new ME, Thogmartin.

If you have found anything where Michael requested, in writing, to the ME, that he do an autopsy, let's see it.

My comment was based on the fact that in a PVS there are no feelings. I've not committed a mortal sin by stating that fact.

Because Dr. Baden tells Greta Van Susteran that he thinks the matter should be investigated is evidence that the M.E. ordered an autopsy? I think not.
I will concede that Michael did make a statement, along with Felos, to the MEDIA, saying he asked for it.
I still object to and will work on finding proof to the contrary, that the ME is doing the Autopsy only because Michael asked him.

That is, to the best of my ability in researching and reading all the law and the policy statement by Dr. Thogmartin, exactly the case.
Felos giving a press conference, and stating Michael wants Terri to an autopsy, and that he has requested the ME do it, is a twisting of the true facts.
Michael allowed Terri to have one drop during communion, giving in to his earlier orders.
OK.
Now he 'requests' the autopsy. That is legal and possible for him to do.
There is legal paperwork that accompanies such a request, per policy. Where is it?
Or is it in the same place as the offer of $10 million to let Terri go that Felos also released to the press?

Had Michael or Felos said, "The ME will be doing an autopsy due to the nature of the case, and since I have nothing to hide, I will be happy to see the results and I think the public will finally understand Terri's plight."
Any comment similar to that would have helped convince me.

I do. I think the ME decided he would do it, and Michael then stated he would release it publicly. That is what the media refers to when they said Michael 'asked' for the autopsy.
You THINK the M.E. decided he would do it? Still not good enough. I also see that you recognize that Michael has ASKED that the results be made public.
