Michael Schiavo decided to have his wife's body cremated after her parents' lawyers obtained medical records showing she had sustained broken bones, a nurse who cared for Terri Schiavo is now claiming.
"He wanted her cremated after the bone fractures and dislocations were found," nurse Carla Sauer Iyer, who cared for Terri in the mid-1990s while she was at the Palm Gardens Convalescent Center, told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity on Friday.
"He immediately went to court and [said he] wanted her body cremated at that time," she said, "after we got hold of the records that proved there were dislocations and fractures."
A 1991 report on a bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo states:
"There are an extensive number of focal abnormal areas ... These include: multiple bilateral ribs ... both sacroiliac joints ... both knees and both ankles."
Radiographs reveal "compression fractures" of the spine and right femur. ... "Compression fracture presumably traumatic," the report says.
Nurse Iyer said she recently contacted Palm Gardens to encourage co-workers who also cared for Terri to speak out - but said they have been muzzled.
"The administrator had gotten them together and they talked about what happened with Michael," Iyer told Hannity. "The people who have worked with Terri who are still there, they cannot talk to reporters - they would be terminated."
If Michael stated "THERE WILL BE NO AUTOPSY", do you think the ME would pay any attention to him?

I'm admitting no such thing. Please do not read anything into my statement other than I think you are desparately looking for a conspiracy where none exists. Now, getting back to my assertion...you have not made your case that the medical examiner ordered the autopsy before Michael requested it. You merely quoted from a section of the law that does not apply here. I then quoted the section of the law that DOES apply and you have not responded to that.
As of October 19,2003 the ME in Florida was by law, committed to performing an autopsy on Terri when she dies.
Because Judicial Watch filed a complaint? ROTFL! These allegations have been investigated and dismissed. Now, please read the law regarding hospice program deaths.
Ask a lawyer, or an ME, If MICHAEL said NO, would the ME listen?
Nowhere do I see anything that says the ME will conduct an autopsy at the request of and for the benefit of the husband to please the public, giving an analysis of the amount of BRAIN DAMAGE or an analysis of whether the patient was in PVS or not.

A loophole? I gave you a link to the applicable law. That's not my idea of a loophole. And, yes, if you read the whole link it does provide for the situation where the family requests an autopsy.

There are those, like you, who seem to be revelling over this supposed downfall of FR.
Most of them seem to be OVER ON THAT OTHER SIDE. I don't even have to ask where that is.
This issue is not conservative vs. liberal. It is about basic principles, morals, family values, those who would destroy family values, those with no respect for family values. It is about inconvenience, and money. It is about greed and lust.
It is these kind of things, the really and truly difficult decisions in life that reveal the character of a person.
I am so sad to say, many many characters have been unwrapped and disclosed publicly on these threads, as they were on the Elian Gonzalez threads (where the public, and many Freepers CHEERED the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT STORMING IN WITH SWAT TEAMS, TEARGASSING THE PUBLIC, EVEN IF THEY WERE NOT IN THE WAY, AND contrary to their statement that they would not rush the house and take Elian by force, did just that very thing.)
Funny thing, the same ones who approved of the GESTAPO taking ELIAN, REFUSE to allow the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT to intervene to save Terri's life (such as it is, but still a GOD GIVEN LIFE)
The Terri threads, the Elian threads are not the only ones that this controversy has become so heated on, such a public clamor, etc.
If you don't believe this, you haven't been on FR long enough.
FR survived, and I am tired of all these people clamoring for the downfall of FR based on this case.
Most long time Freepers, especially the 'specialists' come here to discuss and learn.
Newer posters come her ,IMHO, because they perceive it as THEIR OWN PERSONAL BLOG. They can say anything, see it in print, and expect everyone to believe and not question it.
That is why I don't like most websites. No interaction. No interaction, no verification, no trust.
Why don't you help Keep FR a place where the fight for the truth goes on, instead of claiming, FR is BRAINDEAD, GO AHEAD AND KILL IT?
Any lawyer will tell you, never admit guilt.
The other side is the only place we can talk without being attacked visciously.

Where do we go to discuss this case without being attacked?
P.S. A favorite tactic (of both sides, unfortunately) is to push the ABUSE button.

I have had 5-10 posts pulled in the years that I have been on here, and every one of them, were at MY REQUEST.
I try to stick to the issue, but we all get carried away once in a while.
If you just want a website where you can post what you want, with no disagreement, those places exist.
We FIGHT hard for what we believe in, here, because it is important.
Those who think Michael is innocent, within his rights, and allowing Terri to pass from this troubled life into the peaceful arms of God, I understand, but do not accept.
As a society, we have the means to keep people alive. We have the means to find new fixes, new cures.
They say, you only go around once in life. You should hang on to it with all your power. That someone else can give it away is wrong, especially in the eyes of GOD.
Our laws are like the garbage at the local WASTE DISPOSAL SANITARY LANDFILL. (How do WASTE and SANITARY get in the same description?)
It starts off small, but, before anyone is aware, grows so large that we have to do something about it or we will smother in the trash.
That is what we are seeing happen.
No one minds disagreement. Heck, we have disagreement on our threads. But we don't want the constant personal attacks. We want to talk WITH each other, not AT each other.
And in the beginning, I'm willing to bet a lot of people did hit abuse. The only posts that were pulled were for overt threats of violence and even a few of those stayed up.
