Injury Report Prompted Schiavo Cremation Plans

Michael Schiavo decided to have his wife's body cremated after her parents' lawyers obtained medical records showing she had sustained broken bones, a nurse who cared for Terri Schiavo is now claiming.

"He wanted her cremated after the bone fractures and dislocations were found," nurse Carla Sauer Iyer, who cared for Terri in the mid-1990s while she was at the Palm Gardens Convalescent Center, told ABC Radio host Sean Hannity on Friday.

"He immediately went to court and [said he] wanted her body cremated at that time," she said, "after we got hold of the records that proved there were dislocations and fractures."

A 1991 report on a bone scan performed on Terri Schiavo states:

"There are an extensive number of focal abnormal areas ... These include: multiple bilateral ribs ... both sacroiliac joints ... both knees and both ankles."

Radiographs reveal "compression fractures" of the spine and right femur. ... "Compression fracture presumably traumatic," the report says.

Nurse Iyer said she recently contacted Palm Gardens to encourage co-workers who also cared for Terri to speak out - but said they have been muzzled.

"The administrator had gotten them together and they talked about what happened with Michael," Iyer told Hannity. "The people who have worked with Terri who are still there, they cannot talk to reporters - they would be terminated."

=== This coverup of the broken bones and continual mistreatment (and murder) of Terri is as effective as the one after the Arkansas Blood Scandal.

Hear hear.

I think it important to remember that -- all Memogates of the Moment aside -- it was the GOP deathists who made abortion the linchpin of US defense policy and gave the Dems their talking points where all manner of preventing, perfecting, culling and depopulating human life was concerned.

Almost more interesting than their quoting of the American Academy of Sciences -- "If the birth rate does not go back down, the death rate must go up" -- as they explained their "moral" obligation to undo the "down breeding damage to "hereditary quality" years of well-intentioned programs had wrought, is their finding a right to predetermine the sex of one's children back in 1970.

It's nice when things finally make sense ... however heavy one's heart may be thereafter.

Recommendations of the Task Force on Earth Resources and Population (George H. Bush, Chairman)

To Terri's parents, Bush said, "I can't. I'd love to, but I can't."

Speaking to the media for the first time in three days, the governor added, "I'm sad that she's in the situation that she's in. I feel bad for her family. My heart goes out to the Schindlers and, for that matter, to [her husband] Michael," Bush said. "This has not been an easy thing for any, any member of the family. But most particularly for Terri Schiavo."

Unconscionable.

I cannot fathom the faith of those who yet believe the best about these people.

People at the end of life is not the scenario that we are now dealing with.
Prior to her tube being taken out and her being deprived of any sustenance by mouth she was ahealthy albeit brain impaired woman of 41 yrs.
THE 2 SITUATIONS ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AND SHOULD NOT BE EQUATED.

The Pinellas PD and Sheriff remind me of the small fish, big pond syndrome. These guys think they are tough...but I believe they would soil themselves if a small squad of Seals or Delta Force drove up....

That being said, they (Pinellas LE) are Tough SOB's with preachers and kids holding flammable liquids....aka (h2o)....

Why did Michael sue for malpractice in the first place. I mean, I know he dues because he wanted money.
What was the basis for the lawsuit. What did the hospital and the doctors do to Terri that was considered malpractice?

Also, has there been any definite determination why she collapsed?

If she has a heart attack, why hasn't she went into cardiac arrest the three times her feeding tube was removed?

>>George Felos, with the backing of Judge Greer, has intimidated the hospice staff (perhaps the entire industry) now that it is demonstrated that the Bench can dictate the smallest detail of medical treatment for a handicapped person (including demanding the withholding of treatment) and make life legal hell for anyone who does not obey the Judge, regardless of their conscience..

Remember that many of the people who cared directly and daily for Terri (and other profoundly disabled people) are practical nurses and aides, low paid jobs upon which these people depend to live. And that any "whistle blowers" or "trouble makers" are subject to finding themselves shunned from future employment in the nursing home community.

Even the doctors and administrators (including State employees and even the police) seem to have proven that they are willing to look away and sign off and let it pass rather than take on Goliath (the legal system, as typified by Felos and Greer)<<<

Goodness. Do ever get sick Pinellas County.
The officials who run the town all remind me of the creeps who lived in the apartment building in the movie Rose Mary's Baby..LOL

"The people who have worked with Terri who are still there, they cannot talk to reporters - they would be terminated."

Oh well. So much concern for Terri (sarcasm).

The Shindler lawyers need to be filing some papers to get that body or all their claims will be bogus.

>>Iyer is not to be believed. In addition to her firing there is plenty of testimony in this case that makes her word more than suspect.<<

Please elaborate.

Her word suspect huh?
Not trustworthy like the word of Michael and his brother and sister in law claiming years later they remembered Terri's death wish?

Or the fact Michael Schiavo LYING to a court of that he wanted money to provide care for the rest of Terri's life only to turn around immediately and hire a lawyer to have her feeding tube removed one he won the lawsuit.

Iyer said she would be willing to do a poly....has Michael and his wonderful brother and sister in law agreed to any such thing??

BTW...three other nurses report this behavior and so do TWO of Michael's ex girlfriends that he screwing around with at that time.

Why don't the Schindlers file criminal charges against Schiavo? They could at least prevent him from cremating the body while the trial commences (assuming she is not kept alive)?

Do they have the money???

>>>Her very firing makes it believable. Her filing a police report makes it irrefutable.<<<

EXACTLY.

SHe filed a police report before this case was the way it is now..HIGH PROFILE. So she is not looking for attention or anything.

She is not the only nurse who said Terri experienced medical conditions like she was shot with insulin after Michael, who is a NURSE, left Terri's room!

She had an eating disorder, really?
What charts are you referring to, the ones when she was taken to the hospital after her collaspe?

Any hospice workers brave enough to take the job loss and come forward would be get so many job offers, they'd have to beat 'em away with a stick.
