After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
You have that right Canadian!!
I know...we've all ridden this roller coaster. We've been given glimmers of hope and then cruelly told Terri would get no reprieve.
I can't even imagine what her parents and siblings are going through. We are all praying for them.
Nice quote, thanks for posting it!
Mel Gibson said where was Bishop Lynch in Florida. Said he left town.
Found Bishop Lynch of St. Petersburg, Florida heres what he says. He talks like one of those Scientologists but dressed as a Catholic Bishop. Wow what a wolf.
Our Catholic teaching is also clear that nourishment or hydration may be withheld or withdrawn where that treatment itself is causing harm to the patient or is useless because the patients death is imminent, as long as the patient is made comfortable. In general, the terms death is imminent and terminally ill imply that a physician can predict that the patient will die of the fatal pathology within a few days or weeks, regardless of what life prolonging methods are utilized. [Statement of Florida bishops cited above]

Well, according to what info I've had available to me, the judge should see the ward but as long as the judge is Greer it wouldn't matter.
My favorite line.
I was praying for the family SVB. Glad to hear they're OK. Your poor husband, bless him.
No reprieve for Terri from courts or legislature. Pretty much the end of the road as far as the govt. is concerned.
Baby Doe. Actually there were several. What eventually happened to these cases?
What could he (MS)do if people in his town were driving around with a bumper sticker that said, "Where there's life, there's hope!" - Terri Schindler
There's nothing he could do.
We know what the USSC will say.
Unless we have a miracle from God that only HE knows about, Terri will leave us here soon. Clear to the top of the Judical they have given her the " you must die" orders!! Execute her!!.....the father said her condition is weak but that she was still alert. Strange, eh for a vegatative woman. She is probably at this moment trying to muster up ALL the strength she has to SCREAM the TRUTH....maybe that will be the final miracle!!
Thank you so much dear sister!
Anyone can call themselves a Catholic. Look at Kennedy and Kerry. God knows....and will sort the wheat from the chaff
The President certainly didn't have any problem saying to the Muslims " Bring it on"!! ALL of these politicians are forked tongued and they will say whatever they think fits the situation at the time. Those that are TRUE to their WORD are the only ones that should be supported at all. This terrorist act on home soil makes the shedding of America's son's and daughters blood on foreign soil, seem just wrong. I had always supported the war until today. From today on, FORGET IT, bring your sons and daughters home. You have terrorism to deal with at home.
The HINO will try to continue to harass and hurt the Schindler's but I don't think they care anymore. Give it your best shot.
Michael Savage said that the whole presidential election system may be rigged. After 8 years of Clinton, the Bushes made a deal for 8 years with GWB, to be followed by 8 more years of HRC, then 8 years of Jeb Bush perhaps. It's all rigged, and the people have no voice, he opined in his stern humor. After all, the presidency is now powerless, with all the authority in the hands of state and federal judges. It's a matter of having perks of the executive office for the nation's rotating "first families." That explains why GWB gushes over EMK as well as the Clintons when in their presence.
Since the disabled can't defend themselves, and if the government is to weak to defend them, what good is a bumper sticker going to do?
I've seen the green plaid ribbon. I want a bumper sticker, too, though. They can't be swiped, like my flag ribbon.
Please tell me not to read any other thread at FR....I'm fuming!
The Schindlers are not selfish!!
~rant over~
I thought about having a bumper sticker that says the same thing. :)
