After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.
Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.
Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.
The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.
Never thought I'd be typing this, but God bless Jesse Jackson. I really don't care what his motives are, either.
The networks, including Fox, are attempting to bury this story. Jesse Jackson was speaking with the family at the hospice and they all cut to Bush talking about Iraq and Afghanistan.
Karl Henderson, of Denver, Colo., right, taunts the Pinellas Park police with a goosestep Monday morning March 28, 2005 outside the Woodside Hospice, where Terri Schiavo is a patient, in Pinellas Park, Fla. Terri Schiavo is in her tenth day without food and water.
Since the Terri Schiavo case began to dominate the headlines ten days ago, New York Sen. Hillary Clinton has gone into virtual hiding - refusing to show up for last Sunday's vote on congressional intervention and offering no public comment on the case in the intervening eight days.
But in Sept. 1993, while appearing before Congress to sell her ill-fated health care reform plan, Mrs. Clinton suggested that she wanted to make it easier to deny long term care to patients like Schiavo who have little chance of recovery. ...
Bush: "We will uphold fundamental freedoms for all Iraqis." Shameful this cannot be applied here in America.
Thank you!
"The networks, including Fox, are attempting to bury this story. Jesse Jackson was speaking with the family at the hospice and they all cut to Bush talking about Iraq and Afghanistan."
I KNOW! I am furious! Here is GWB talking about the human rights of the Iraqui's while one of our own lays in AMERICA starving to death!
Amen!
Just heard this from Jesse Jackson after visiting Terri:
"She's being starved to death, she's being dehydrated to death.
"And that is inhumane. That is immoral."
That tells me two things:
1. There is massive outrage.
2. The producers are being arm-twisted, by higher-ups, to "make this go away"....by "pretending this doesn't exist"...on to "more important" things.
I have new found respect for Rev. Jackson...he said he is trying to talk with the congress and to Jeb to try and save Terri, I hope he can do something....MS would not let him see Terri, and you know it is because once he does he will tell us all that Terri is alive, and coherent and wants to live...MS definitely has something to hide.
The judgements. The rhetoric. It's self-evident what I'm not a part of, TwF.
I don't hate Laura Bush and Margaret Spellings for going to Afghanistan to help out the women there, and for calling attention to what the Taliban did to them. This trip was planned to the last detail long ago, and they are representing our government.
Does it tear me up to think about it happening right while Terri is being judicially murdered here in America? You bet it does.
But as I posted before, Laura's husband and Jeb know only how to be part of the system in America, and that system is already wrongly wired in favor of judicially-ordered murder of the incapacitated. They truly do not yet "get it".
Plenty of us think they do get it, but that they either don't care, are cowardly scum, or are happy the incapacitated are dying so we can save Medicare and Social Security. I don't. I have said they are creatures of the system, they know nothing else, they have positive agendas to pursue, they are extremely busy, and they are being advised by lawyers. Yes, lawyers. Just think.
As for the trip to Afghanistan being about one world government, it is clearly about world cooperation, which at times can be good but at other times very bad. But that is all I see in it.
I think this: Post #1651 and 1693

Although it differs in tone and substance from some of you, it STILL qualifies me for 'kook fringe" status.
AMEN
I can no longer listen to GWB, I feel he is a liar and a hypocrite as he speaks of freedon in Iraq while Terri is dying and he has seemed to wash his hands of her
MSNBC: Jerry Falwel has just suffered a massive heart attack.
As they say, even a broken clock is right twice a day...
They did the same thing with the footage from 911........ the sheeple were starting to wake up. Our government is trying to repress us in EXACTLY the same way MS suppressed Terri by denying her therapy. Our 'therapy' is the truth and information. Without therapy we will all languish until they decide to 'pull the plug'.
Be careful As soon as I said that I was glad about JJ going to the vigil, I got bashed. I do not like the man, but if her parents want him there and he went, then he's doing fine by me.
Yes it does. Can you imagine what looking at those old photos of concentration camp victims does to him?
A wave of revulsion comes over me just looking at him.
Who really saddens me is Jeb Bush. He thinks he's done the right thing. It just shows that, to him, the right thing is taking what he thinks is the political middle ground. He bases his morality, right from wrong, on political ambiguity. He doesn't even know this isn't about politics.
True; it wasn't PC to show the truth, of planes flying into buildings. It might, upset, the little people....all those truthful reminders about what the war is really about....
