Part 7 - EASTER SUNDAY -NO FOOD OR WATER 10-11TH DAYS- SHE'S FIGHTING TO LIVE [Schiavo]
Continuing thread ^ | 03/27/05 | various

After much hard work that has gone on for well over a year, it's been a week and 2 days since Terri has been without food and hydration.

Many asking the question how we could have become such a callous society as to deny a helpless human the basic necessity of food and water.

Terri's plight has brought to light many problems in the judicial system and opened our eyes to the fact that some laws need to be changed.

The work will continue to protect helpless individuals from suffering the same injustice as Terri.

This is downright satanical.

Here are snippets of a story that was posted here:

The Clearwater Bar Association is delighted with Judge Greer's performance in this particular case. They presented the John U. Bird award to the Pinellas-Pasco Circuit judge on May 15, 2004. This prestigious award, which is the Clearwater bar's highest honor for a judge, was granted to Judge Greer for the way he has handled himself while overseeing the Terri Schiavo case!

"The Clearwater Bar Association: Cozy with Scientology"
http://libertytothecaptives.net/scientology_clearwater_bar_association_judge_greer.html

One of Scientology's major goals is to change society's views about death, dying, and those L. Ron Hubbard considered to be "past the half-way point": the disabled.
Scientologists believe (1) that a disabled person is in such a state due to his or her own failings, (2) the disabled person will deliberately move in the direction of death, and (3) disabled people (Individuals who score low on the emotional tone scale) will also bring death to those around them. (See L. Ron Hubbard's book, Self Analysis, chapter 4)

Laura Ingraham mentioned TEJ on her radio show. I think she is on live, between 9 - 11 a.m., but I heard it on WABC at around 9:30 p.m. (rerun).

It seemed to me Sean really changed and Terri wasn't just another news story after meeting Terri's family.

I think I'd agree with that. He seems more personally invested now.

I don't think the Bush boys will suffer from our remarks near as much as Terri will suffer for their failure to act.

She'd be paying with her life, and they'd be paying with what? A public office? A legacy? I don't know how they can sleep at night.

"The National Republican committee and the State Republican Committee both call here because we have donated money to both and I will not give them a dime this year and I will tell them why every time they call."

GREAT idea.

I really don't know. Until 12 days ago, I actually thought Jeb would do the right thing. Some of our granddaughters first words were "go W!" My faith has been tested in more ways than one, but this I know
MURDER IS WRONG, those who condone it are no better than those who do it.

I thought Jeb was going to do the right thing, too. Oh, how I thought that!

I know better, now.

I'm going to bed - can't think anymore. Nighty night! :o)

I've read through most of the 15K posts the last few days regarding Terri Schavio et. al. I have read some beautiful prayers, heart-felt pleadings and informative links and articles - the best of FR and its people.

I've also read many posts about the failings of Bush/Bush/Congress and that some are going to leave the party etc. etc.

I look back at the last five years and I marvel at the victories we've had. Changes have occurred in many different venues from governors to legislatures to foreign countries, positive changes. And yet this one issue is causing consternation among many. I agree with them, to a point. I pray for Terri and her family, I worry about what doors this will open for the "right to die" crowd. I am concerned about the possible fractures in the party because of this issue. Do I hold my leaders responsible for Terri? Yes. Will I leave the party because of it? No.
After so many heady victories what would that say for me that after my party had one setback I would choose to leave them and belittle them. (If these are friends of the party, please, give me my enemies!) I will continue to do what is right. I will write letters saying this had better never happen again, I will send emails saying you blew it and correct it legally, and most of all I will use as much persuasive power that I have to say "enough is enough" now is the time for the nuclear option, now is the time for reform, now is the time....not time to leave or belittle or be caustic. That's what the enemy does - and we are not the enemy.

Finally, God Richly Bless those posters who have offered prayer for Terri and the family and the nation - as has been said -some trust in chariots, some in horses - but for me and my house we'll trust in the Lord.

Terry

We need to keep after the Republican Party. Even if they do the right thing for the wrong reason (politics), it might help to save lives.

Also, if we withhold donating to the Nt'l Republican Party, but donate to pro-life candiates, they will realize the only way they can get $$ is by giving us pro-life candidates.

But then there's big business. We can only do our part.

Today someone quoted a verse I believe in Isaiah about " being thirsty and God placing water on a tongue." Something to that affect. I meant to save the reference and have lost it. Anyone remember it???

Isaiah 41:17 is the closest I can find in my Strong's Concordance

When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.
