In what way have you stuck your neck out on Teri's behalf, Mr/Ms Crusader? The title "Crusader", not to mention your words, would indicate that you are out there leading the charge and setting the example for those you are critizing for not doing enough.
Nobody has elected me as the Governor of Florida, with the immense State and Constitutional power and authority of that position. I could travel to Florida with a glass of water, I suppose, and get arrested by Florida's finest like they did to the ten year old boys and girls, but that wouldn't help Terri Schiavo now would it? Especially since they have a SWAT Team and rooftop snipers there. If I had any chance of getting that glass of water in I would do it. Jeb Bush could get her out of there and get her back on sustenance, I could not.
That being said, for years I have been donating money to Terri's legal fund and the Catholic organizations who have been working to keep her alive, and I've prayed for her many many times. And if there was anything else I could do besides sit here and try to shame our lazy and cowardly politicians into actually acting on our behalf as they are elected to do, I would do it.
