Demonstrators Mary Porta, kneeling, and others pray for Terri Schiavo, Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005, outside the hospice, where Terri resides, in Pinellas Park, Fla. Under increased security and with fading hopes, Terri Schiavo's parents asked supporters to return home to spend Easter Sunday with their families as the couple's severely brain-damaged daughter went a ninth day without food or water. "She's a true nutcase. Both of them took extraordinary measures to intervene in this case at great political risk to themselves and knowing this, went for it anyway because they believed it was the right thing to do.
Now we have nutcases who are never satisfied. This is the thanks the Bushes get for sticking their necks out - hatred and attacks just as vicious as it would have been had they pretended they had never heard of Terri Schiavo and just ignored it. Sick and stupid"
My thoughts exactly!!

If I were Barbara Bush, I would be proud of my sons.
George W. and Jeb have done a good job.
I support them even today.

If Terri Schiavo is denied the elements of the Catholic Sacrament of the Eucharist, even in miniscule form, as is the case, it is evident that she is being denied food and water orally, as well as by feeding tube. Judge Greer, Michael Schiavo, and his attorney will leave no stone unturned in their quest to terminate Terri Schiavo's life.

President Bush was well within the law when he ordered U.S. troops into Iraq and Afghanistan. The Constitution gives him the power as Commander-In-Chief and he was authorized to do so by Congress.
However, the President is not above the law and he did all that was legally in his power to do so. We do not live in a dictatorship or a monarchy where our leader can do as he pleases. We're a nation of laws and violating those laws, even if we disagree with them, is not something the President, governor, or anyone else should be doing. If you don't like the laws, get them changed.

She can swallow, or used to be able to, but to a limited degree. She was fed baby food and jello. She could not swallow enough to live on, but the therapy was ordered stopped, thus ensuring that she would not improve the ability.

This is the element that Randall Terry attracts with his rhetoric. Doesn't there always seem to be a circus atmosphere around him?

I am sure SHE is as I would be if they were my sons. Those of us who would like to live under a benevolent DICTATOR can always move to another nation and take our chances there.

"This is the thanks the Bushes get for sticking their necks out..." They did no such thing. When push came to shove they retreated into their little shells of "sorry, I'm just not given the power to do anything more". Would that the stinking liberal judges were this craven, we might have a fighting chance then. But the liberals are bold and take all the risks necessary to advance their agenda, while our elected leaders shrink from the fight like mice.
I think the woman's sign should have said: "Mr. Governor, what would you do if that were YOUR DAUGHTER lying in there"?

The "religious" leftist kooks and the "religious" right kooks, are flip sides of the same extremist coin. As long as the Constitution stands in their way, thank God, they will never be able to grab the reins of absolute power in the United States.
SHOULD READ: As long as WE LET KOOKS from either extreme keep rewriting the Constitution that used to stand in their way, they will CONTINUE grabbing for absolute power in the United States. And we must bear in mind that it has been the Leftist kooks that has been doing most of the furtive--and overt--rewriting, particularly from court benches.

Real Christians pray quietly, to their God and to that little quiet part inside them that listens when God speaks back.
This "lady" prays for the TV cameras, and her poster-carrying friend has little knowledge of the Constitution as written by the Founding Fathers.
