This morning two of the main leaders of Terri's fight were arrested. We have been at the Hospice since early Thursday morning.
We helped bail out strangers that made the personal decision to face jail because of the unjust laws and judicial decisions in this case.
We are sitting in our hotel room and just saw two of the leaders get taken to jail. It was the first time I've cried since I've been here.
The people at the vigil are various individuals and groups of caring people from all over America trying to work together to make a difference. You don't see the big names here, just the little people. They could use the support from others that are so affected by Terri and her family's suffering.
I don't even know all the main groups involved, but I did have the opportunity to meet these two pastors that were arrested today. I don't even have the name of one of the pastors. One was Chet Gallagher of OperationSaveAmerica -- www.operationsaveamerica.org
Last night before we left, we got to shake Mr. Schindler's hand. Afterwards my husband said it was more of an honor to shake Mr.Schindler's hand than it would have been to shake Pres. Bush or Gov. Bush's hand.
The Left (Hillary & Kerry for starters) silently dismissed themselves and didn't vote. They let the Bushes hang themselves knowing full well they didn't have what it takes to stop this murder of an innocent woman.
Watch the media when she dies.
'Can you imagine the hullabaloo that would have followed if a dying Moselm woman was denied religious rights? The left and the advocates for "human rights" would be screaming bloody murder.'
When I was at the hospice there was a protester for M.Schiavo holding up a sign that read:"The Christian right is the taliban of America". Boy that made me mad.
I don't understand the resentment toward the Bush's.....
Maybe you might understand it better if you could put YOURSELF in the same position as the Schindlers. Please try and imagine if this was YOUR daughter! Try to imagine if it was the PRESIDENT'S daughter. What do you think he would do then? Would he just say, "Oh well, I guess there is nothing I or anyone else can do, we'll just have to accept Judge Greer's defiance on the law that Congress just passed and I signed, and get along with the business of Social Security reform"? Doubt it. The Schindlers deserve exactly the same consideration, EXACTLY!!
Amazing how many people are avoiding this question, when it is posed to them. Why are they afraid to answer? If they really believed it was the right solution for their and everyone else's daughter, why not have the courage to just say so? Could it be that they know that it would not go over too well? And why wouldn't it? I believe that this is the clearest way to view this.
It has always been a luxury for all of us to go through life believing that we are moral, and that if the time should come that reqires us to demonstrate same, that we would act. Truth is, is that we seldom have these situations come up that demand proof.
This, though, is one of them. That is why so many are so uncomfortable with this, and why so many others are rising to the occasion!
I (foolishly?) remain hopeful that the president or the governor will step in and do what they would undoubtedly do for their own.
Good article. Thanks.

"The Bush brothers, in this struggle, have emasculated both themselves and the offices they hold by not protecting the civil rights of their citizens. When the story of the tyrannical and imperial judiciary is told, the Bush brothers will be prominently featured--on the wrong side."
Thank you.
I have some, but I haven't even looked at them. I was so upset I couldn't get the pictures half the time.
I still haven't got my thoughts together and at least write up all that happened in my short time there, but I will.

I've been arrested and spent time in jail with him before..A true God loving man who has put his tail on he line quite a bit..."
Thanks for your comments.

I met Flip too. I didn't get Ed's last name. They are the ones running the behind the scenes operations, while Randall Terry is out in front. We need both type of leaders.
At first it seemed very disorganized, then I realized how short of time they had to get in place down there. They are doing the best they can with the little they have.
These guys seem to be doing the most in organizational and logistical support, since none of the big names were down there.
Surprisingly very few from Florida were present. There were Christians from many denominations down there, quite a few disabled people, and even some with signs "non-Christians for Terri." The crowd was made up of the little guys from all over the country who could see the injustice of this case and other cases that will follow, now that this terrible precedent has been set.
Thanks for posting.
L Ingraham's guest Matt Hentoff

Thanks tutstar.
It's just amazing how long Terri has lived without food and water. For someone who's husband-in-name-only says she wished to die, she sure is putting up a powerful fight.
Did you see my post that Michael's ghoulish supporters were allowed to go into Terri's room? I heard them bragging about seeing Terri on Thursday night.
A BIG DEAL of the BLAME for the rise of Hitler's NSDAP, Mussolini's fascists, and the Military Clique of Hideki Tojo in Japan, each of the three causing unparalleled human suffering around the world, was to laid straight at the feet of the GERMAN, ITALIAN and JAPANESE PEOPLE themselves. They allowed those forces to come to power, be it ever so slowly.
I know we are really putting the heat on Jeb Bush and Congress at this point, and disappointed with their irresponsible hiding and hemming and hawing.
But they are merely playing out their roles as POLITICIANS, SENSITIVE TO PUBLIC OPINION.
Whether the lib polls are right on this or not, I tend to think there is something to the fact that the Majority of the Sheeple will this for Terry.
Accordingly, the American People Themselves represented by Their Society bear some culpability and blame over Terri's death this week.
I would imagine if the sentiment was overwhelming in favor of Terri, and we had Solidarity in Poland 1989-sized or Manila People Power-crowds in her defense, none of those politicians could or would hide under a rug. As it was, people were too busy pigging out and standing in line at their Blockbuster Video shops with that tropical stare on their faces that shows a society devoid of interest, passion, reason nor care.
At the end of the day, the bases were loaded but the score was Two Out. We needed a grand slam. America did not even steop up to the plate....losing the game by default and inaction.
thanks for do-doing all over the bushes who tried to help you and the republican party.

In a lot of ways, yes politicians are doing what they do. However, it can't be excused that after many calls and emails to the Gov, DCf, and Gov's legal counsel to report to them the illegal actions that have been documented by theempirejournal.com that they have up to this point done nothing to rectify and investigate those who need to be investigated. The fact that Terri herself is 'evidence' and could/ought to be protected can't be denied.
King George GREER!! Greer is now mightier than our Cogress and President...he is now KING of America.
How do you know that??? Proof please. I am a WEEKLY Mass=goer and I have never even THOUGHT about having a spiitual advisor.
As much as I don't want to agree with you, I must. Every tin-pot dictator knows that a creepy nothing little punk judge in podunk country yields more power than the President. We are in end times for our country.
The "Schiavo" name will be CURSED for all time.
Liberalism is weakening maternal and paternal instincts. This cannot last.
Well if there is no one in your church to help you thru a crisis, thats really kinda sad, because that is all a spiritual adviser is in nonreligious terms. If you are happy in your church, that is what is counts.
