From what I read, 63% of the prostitutes in NY are HIV positive. They have sex with millions of men a month... Where's the epidemic in heterosexual men? There isn't one!

Not sure how many people will actually take the time to think your points through, but the friends I have in medicine have stated have told me the same thing. HIV is a blood-blood transmitted virus. Vaginal intercourse TYPICALLY does not result in a blood to blood transmission, whereas the likelihood is far greater in anal intercourse. Hence, gay men are more prone to get/transmit this disease than hetero-sexual men. Also, women are more prone to becoming infected, than men in normal (non-violent) vaginal intercourse.
