From what I read, 63% of the prostitutes in NY are HIV positive. They have sex with millions of men a month... Where's the epidemic in heterosexual men? There isn't one!

Thanks for shining the light of logic, into the abyss of moral indignation. Not sure how many people will actually take the time to think your points through, but the friends I have in medicine have stated have told me the same thing. HIV is a blood-blood transmitted virus. Vaginal intercourse TYPICALLY does not result in a blood to blood transmission, whereas the likelihood is far greater in anal intercourse. Hence, gay men are more prone to get/transmit this disease than hetero-sexual men. Also, women are more prone to becoming infected, than men in normal (non-violent) vaginal intercourse.
