"Emotion, hysteria, lies, advocation of violence, and calls for ignoring the constitution abound"

I have read most of this thread so far and have not seen much advocation of violence, lies or calls for ignoring the Constitution, quite the contray, in fact I could argue that it is you that is advocating violence (death by starvation) and ignoring the Constitution right to life. You would be well advised to take a chill pill.

I won't miss Republicans like you.

Saw your post a little while ago, accusing a priest serving the Schindler family night and day of homosexuality, because he 'looked like that' to you.

I know him, and he's one of the most humble men I've ever met.

Of course, humility is not a concept you're familiar with, I know.

If he doesn't, I will be leaving the Republican Party and taking as many people with me as possible.

And every time Republicans do this, they take us one step closer to Democrat takeover of everything. I'm frustrated too, but I'm sure as heck going to direct my anger at the sniveling, hiding-in-the-shadows Democrats, not the one guy who did the most to save Terri.

When people threaten to drop their support of Republicans, they just prove the Democrats right in their strategy. They ran and hid so no one would be mad at them -- so we'd all be mad at those who had the courage to stand up and take action (not sufficient to please many of us, but when is it ever?). Those who stand above the crowd get criticized for not being perfect. Those who cower and hide get voted into office again and again.

This tragedy has convinced me more strongly than ever to vote Republican. I do not want to live in a world run by Democrats. Give me one baby step forward rather than two big steps back.

Such sensinsitivity-almost liberalesque in quality. I am so sorry that I offend you, Sir, and I will make a point of pinging you when I mention your name. The last thing I would want is for you to miss it.

May you be satisfied with the result of your actions, EV.

Thank you. I will take those words at their apparent meaning.

I hope and pray with all my heart that they are moot, because the Governor will have acted to secure justice and innocent human life.

I have thought the same way for fifteen years, and have acted accordingly.

But today, my views are being changed by these events.

God bless you.

I never said he didn't lack humility.

Correction: I never said he lacked humility. He appears very humble.

You should do what I do, and engage them politely until you have the measure of who you are talking too. Not every one is an Internet warrior such as yourself, some are very young/old/weak/distraught and come here for comfort not debate. If you were half a smart as you think you are you would know that.

exactamundo........ Chad has been happy on his past posts to refer to nearly everyone as a hypocrite of late. Darn, I used to like this guy!

It's a horrifically sad day.

I truly can't believe it.

I am very sad for the Shindlers. This is an outrage.

the Bushes HAVE the Constitutional power to save Terri, but for sake of argument let's say they don't.

JUDGE GREER and the rest of the Judges can BREAK and disregard the law to condemn Terri to a gruesome death, but Governor Bush is NOT permitted to do likewise to SAVE her.

Unfortunately they are all on spring break, and from what I understand they'd have to come on back to DC in order to actually "get him" on it, and that will take too much time.

Understand your point, re-convening is out of the question. I would still like to see him brought before Congress and asked what is it about "de novo review" that he did not understand. This needs to be done to start the process of putting the judiciary in its place. We are so far down the road with judicial excesses its going to be tough to turn the ship around.

You are so righ about the Gettysburg Address. How can hearsay be accepted on one side but not the other side??? Don't they have other judges at his level that can review the case? Someone has got to be able to go back and check the facts behind him.

Is anyone else seeing that, or should we just assume that he is hallucinating?

If he is, so is half the forum.

I remember. You're a regular Karl Rove when it comes to whipping up support for your candidates.

Karl greatly appreciated those million voters I brought him in 2000.

He told me so.

Greer totally ingnored the de novo review that Congress intended so why wasn't he found to be in contempt of Congress?

Your facts are wrong. The de novo review was for the U.S. District Court. That would be U.S. District Judge James D. Whittemore.

I had been wondering what the laws concerning autopsies where cremation is involved in FLA.

I found that by accident. I had read multiple times that Michael planned on having Terri cremated immediately after her death. Several years ago when my mother was cremated, the funeral director explained to us that there was a 3 day waiting period after someone dies before they can cremate. I live in Wisconsin, so I wanted to see what the waiting period in Florida is. I've seen 48 hours mentioned, but haven't been able to find the law that mandates the waiting period. I doubt very much a funeral director or crematorium is going to take a chance on losing their license for MS. In the same vein, I don't think a medical examiner will risk his job even if "judge" Greer orders no autopsy.
