AP Breaking: Schiavo Parents Won't Fight Court Ruling (11th circuit)

Terri Schiavo's parents will not ask a federal appeals court to reconsider its decision that left their brain-damaged daughter without her feeding tube, leaving one of their last hopes with a state judge who has ruled against them before, one of their lawyers said Saturday.

A three-judge panel of the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta refused Friday night to order the reconnection of the tube, which was removed March 18 on a state judge's order.

Greer's decision is still pending.

Terri must have taken a turn for the worse, that's probably why they decided to stop the appeals process.

I think they are preparing for her demise, having done all they could. A real tragedy, I only hope some long-term good comes out of this. So far all we have learned is that the judges rule the land and that there are a lot of FReepers who hate the pro-life movement.

Initially the parents were going to appeal the decision of the 11th circuit three judge panel to the full court, but they have just changed their mind.

Time must really be running out for Terri -- although a doctor, a "specialist of end of life" said, that Terri could still recover completely to her previous state, if she received hydration and food now, because she started out healthy, based on a general assessment -- he has not seen Terri.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder what would happen if someone went in to see Terri Schiavo and then took a pillow and suffocated her to death.

Would they be charged with murder?

No -- FoxNews said they aer still waiting for Greer's ruling -- this is the LAST pending ruling.

As I said in another post earlier, they were planning to continue their appeals, and just decided against it.

Greer hasn't ruled yet - he said he will rule by noon today, and he is waiting until the very last minute to rule, just by that, his ruling can be anticipated to be a NO.

Unlike Terri, if I want a sandwich I will make one.

It's not about food, it's about murder of the conscious and sentient by torture - something you apparently agree with.
