In cyberspace, where anybody who cares to listen can hear you scream, the question of whether Terri Schiavo should live or die has spawned an endless shouting match. People who are passionate about maintaining Schiavo's life support have set up dozens of Internet sites, and the authors of Web logs dedicated to law, religion, ethics and politics are dissecting every aspect the case.

I feel like screaming too, for our courts have failed us all. We have no business fighting in far flung places while our citizens are being murdered by our "Justice System". Most of us feel so alone as we scream against this injustice. Fox News reports that Terri is bleeding from her tongue and her eyes, and that her skin is flaking off today.

liberal viewpoint: all news is conservative and not liberal in the least, yet they contend that its the medias job to report the truth (the media doesnt report the truth,if it did it would go bankrupt)
liberal viewpoint: terri schiavo is the end of W,how and why? i dunno, but thats what those idiots think
michieal schiavo viewpoint: he wants the pope and terri dead,i wonder whos next, probably bush, rush, any conservative in general,
liberal viewpoint: that the conservatives policitsized this:
more like the MEDIA made a it a political thing,we just wanted terri to live, and not be starved to death,if the judge woulda let terri be handed over to her mom and dad this would be overwith, but no..those idiots decided to use this as some sick political attack

A change in the powers of the courts are needed and that is what we take from all this when everything is done.
Congress even told the Florida courts Terri was a witness due in front of her 3/28. The courts of Florida ignored Congress like they were beneath the Courts and that is not correct.
Contempt charges need to fly and the court system needs a good enema.

She has put up a tremendous fight. If she had wanted to die, she would not have the will to have lasted this long. Had she wanted to die, she would not have yelled "AAAAAAAHHHHHH WWAAAAAAAAAAA", in reponse to Barbara Weller's statement:
"Terri, all this would be over if you would just say 'I want to live'".
Terri, our prayers are with you in these final dusky hours. Bright fields lay ahead, dear sister. God has a place on his bosom for you, and you will be filled with unspeakable bliss, and one Day every wrong will be righted.

Yes, the worst terrorists are right here..The judicial branch of government is government. We have around 300,000,000 people in this nation and, essentially, one man has decided that Terri will be murdered. To back up his decision, we are told that most of us want this innocent woman to die as we watch her parents and many in our nation grieve. For years, my husband and I have talked about where the point of no return is for the United States as we have observed the courts getting more and more out of control. My personal philosophy about all of the madness which afflicts us is that most human beings are born with an instinct toward empathy for their fellow man, and especially for the weak and suffering, but some are born with aberrations, meaning they do not have that empathy and those are the people who seek to satisfy raw lust, and the reach to do anything to gain raw power over others is raw lust. Many times the aggression these people feel will take them to high places in institutions..They often developed charm which helps them gain the trust of other people so they can get the power they want. Where they register on the continuum of aggression will determine whether they succeed in their quest or whether they end up in trouble with society. In the end, when these people are able to bond with others like themselves for the common goal of raw power, they will bring society down. They nearly always are individuals who do not believe in a higher power because they lust to be everyone's God. In the end, when the suffering becomes unbearable, human nature will reassert itself and, once again, empathy and other normal human instincts will be asserted. I believe that Terri's tremendous suffering will come to rest on the head of Judge Greer and the judicial system. Michael Schiavo's unbelievable treatment of Terri's parents in this situation tells me he abused Terri, as well. Abusive spouses abound in this nation so he is not unusual. However, the polls telling us that most of us want Terri's life to be taken are not true. They are contrived because the wrong questions have been asked. President Bush and the Congress are being criticized for doing what the Constitution tells them to do, just as they have done in Civil rights cases, just as they have done in abortion cases, and as they are supposed to for the purpose of checks and balances. Terri's case is NOT like the many cases of tube removal which go on in our nation day after day..She was very much alive and responding..Everything is based on "hearsay." Travesty..Travesty..Travesty..How much distance is there between this crisis in our nation's history and the knock on the door in the middle of the night for other citizens???? WAKE UP AMERICA!!

Maybe the "blogs" are going crazy, because
the entire case is crazy and everyone is avoiding
the most important social and human issue here!
It's not just Terri! Patients around the country
are suffering this slow death.
***Starvation and dehydration should be ILLEGAL***

i got a feelin when all this is over the libs are gonna consider it some kinda defeat for bush, That's all this Schiavo case is for liberals, a defeat for Bush and conservative Christians. The way the Liberals look at the Schiavo case is that if a women has to die to beat Bush, so be it.
I'm so mad and sick right now. We are in a civil war with the liberals in this country. I never believed that before but now I do. I say, give them no quarter, fight them every step of the way.

Word to the Wise!
Even if someone takes the time to get a Living Will, and
specify "no feeding tube,"
**Is the logical next step starvation and dehydration?**
I think we're assuming the people who sign Living Wills are choosing to have a slow death.
A living will should include not only what you don't want to happen, but ALSO what you DO want to happen to you!
****
__ Check here if you want to be left in a room for 7 -12 days, dehydrated, pickled, starved, until you die.
It should be spelled out because like most legal documents its the fine print that "kills" you.

Fox News reports that Terri is bleeding from her tongue and her eyes, and that her skin is flaking off today. Why does cutting off food have anything to do with cutting off water? I'm making it known that I do not wish to have hydration cut off even if I were in a vegetative state. Theis is sadistic. How does anyone know she's not in pain?

I'm not so sure about this being a defeat. For one thing, in the case of Terri herself, if she dies, this may lead to civil litigation that may further expose hubby's neglect/abuse. Greer has not permitted very much of this evidence to be heard in open court. When it does, many who have embraced MS's cause may find themselves tarred with endorsing some very unpleasant actions.
Further, for the larger issue, it has served to crystallize what is at stake here. This is what I wrote in the other message board linked in my previous post:
Recent case law may indeed make it so that taking another person's life is a private family matter. If it does, it is DEAD WRONG. If an accused violent criminal is entitled to a JURY TRIAL, an appellate process, etc. then so should an innocent disabled person.
Individuals certainly have rights to decide what to do with their own bodies/lives. When it comes to deciding what happens to someone else -- or whether someone is legally a person -- it is obviously a matter of public concern. I certainly cannot abide someone who has a personal vested interest in another person's demise being in a position to decide.
Being a [small letter] liberal and democrat, I hold that such fundamental matters must be exhaustively debated openly by our elected representatives -- not settled by an appointed, berobed elite. The fact that this has indeed happened in some very important cases does not make it right.
No matter what happens to Terri Schiavo, many people who have been on the sidelines are becoming increasingly vocal and active. This is only the beginning. We may indeed see the day when the Culture of Death is exposed for what it really is and finds itself on the defensive.
There is little doubt in my mind that if it weren't for Free Republic, this would not be a national story right now. This is truly a grass-roots issue and because of this, the Illuminati are beside themselves right now.
This is far from over.

Do you really want to know how Michael Schiavo sleeps at night? He sleeps in the bed with a woman not his wife, while he tries to put his first wife to death!
