Terry Schiavo is in a persistant vegetative state. She has no awareness, and everything she was as a person is already gone. Tell your daughter that dying is a natural part of life, and she will be with God soon.
No one is killing Terry Schiavo. We can take comfort in the fact that she feels no pain. She is not "starving to death" in the sense that she feels hunger. She does not. She is in a state of ketosis. Explain that to your daughter. Tell her that when Terri had conscious awareness, she did not want to be like this.

Look at her face again and go to bed tonight and dream that you are right....but then again, what if you are wrong?
What proudmilitarymrs is saying is, tell your daughter to not be so sensitive to other's plight. If we tell ourselves that she has no awareness, then we don't have to wonder if she really does. And proudmilitarymrs's philosophy can really work for America, it worked in Germany in the 30's and 40's of the 20th Century, and it works on some Islamic countries today.

Tell GOD that you had the information available to you proving that Terri was diagnosed PVS to be able to kill her and you ignored it. Or tell him you didn't know.
Tell him that the fact that the lawyer FELOS was on the BOARD of DIRECTORS of the HOSPICE , and that Judge Greer's wife was on the BOD of the Hospice, and that the DEPT of HEALTH and HUMAN SERVICES has asked for $14.8 million in MEDICARE SCAMS for taking elderly people into the hospice with a diagnosis of TERMINALLY ILL, who upon evaluation by someone other than a doctor payed by the HOSPICE, were found not to be TERMINALLY ILL. Felos has filed an appeal to keep it out of the public eye til Terri is dead.

Tell the daughter that the culture of death is natural to Democrats. While death is a natural end to earthly existence, Democrats, Communists, Liberals, Nazis and assorted socialists prefer to hasten the process when it furthers their political agenda; that is, kill the unborn, the infirm, the defenseless, set free the murderers and pederasts to cower the bourgeoisie, and promote the homosexual lifestyle (together with adopted kids from the bourgeoisie) so that the population will stagnate and die off.
This, then, will require an explanation as to how illegal immigrants will supplant the overfed, overpaid and inconvenient middle class so that big corporations can reduce wages and Balkanize the new work force into easily controlled company towns. I agree with you.i've seen some very absurd posting on FR regarding this case. People who otherwise have been logical and showed critical thinking in the past anr now blinded by emotion.Some recent post here have been as insane as things you'd see from the fanatics on DU.The woman's been like this for 15 years..Not 2 weeks since many people first got into this story ..15 years.Now all of a sudden people have cures and ideas and all sorts of new explainations..Where were they all these years. The woman is never going to be beyond what she is now..Most major doctors agree on this .I can't believe that Republicans want the GOVT to get involved in these matters..Are you all for real ?You'r eopening up a can of worns here with that suggestion .What happens down the road when grandma is in this postion and a son disagrees with grandpa over what to do ..Now you're going to have everyone with lawyers all over the place in matters that are to be left up to the spouse and the spouse alone.
