any legal mean I would except in my mind....throwing the law out the window or meet your's or my wishes doesn't seem like a wise course....it reflects that emotions have gotten the better part of reasoning
I only want to throw out Twentieth-Century Law. We can keep Blackstone.
"but he can not "storm" the castle down there in Florida and remove her without consent of the guardian....and we all know who that is"
They did just that the last time the tube was reinserted without the husband's consent. They were granted a stay in that case, though.
The Florida Constitution states that the chief executive has the power to enforce laws. I think there have been numerous breaches in this case: No independent counsel for Terri (only sporadic) as both the U.S. Constitution and Florida law requires, no rehabilitation for her as Florida law requires for disabled adults and the court itself has defied a Congressional subpoena.
I cannot imagine how he couldn't legally use his constitutional executive law enforcement power to take her into custody. The judge hasn't the power to enforce laws, only to state what the law is. The judicial branch hasn't the power to limit the executive branch in Florida. Imagine, a restraining order against the Governor!! What arrogance.
There are legal "experts" on each side who differ on this, so I think it is just a matter of political will at this point.
Again, this is just another opinion added to a million.
And speaking of "criminal" actions, after this incident Governor Bush should issue a pardon to each and every person arrested for supporting Terri Schiavo.
I repeat - I know what you are saying BUT I said wait until the people 'get it'. It's not about me liking or not liking something - it's about when others understand what's really going on. It's been one week The slow ones will catch up - those that are open to truth.
The truth sets you free . . from MSM
I'm not wagging anything.
Well .. right about now I'm really short on patience, and confidence .. sorry!
Would you say that if Terri were your daughter?
Jeb Bush is a honorable man. But he has stated (correctly), that he cannot ignore the order of the courts. I applause him for his efforts, but expecting him to break the law to give Terri two more days is stupid. He must obey the law. We may not like it, he does not like it, but we are a Government ruled by Law. Our job. is to change the law.
These judges have destroyed the rule of law through their actions.
Jeb Bush has no courage or semblance of honor. If he did, all this b.s. would have not occurred and he would acted preemptively a long time ago.
If a little baby crawled out into a busy highway and sat in
the middle of the road, I'm quite sure that Governor Bush
would risk a jaywalking ticket to rush into the street and
save the child, even if the Don't Walk sign is flashing !!!
Terri is an innocent and helpless child right now. Therefore, she
desperately needs someone to bravely risk arrest for jaywalking
to save her life from that evil mob of monsters who are blatantly
attempting to murder her ... in plain view of the entire world !!!
Jaywalk NOW Jeb !!!
Dammit... Jaywalk NOW !!!
Leaders have to make tough decisions. At least, some leaders make them. Others just kind of stand back and go along to git along.
The public will know soon, and then their rage will turn on the Republicans because they will know the Republican leaders knew the truth but failed to save her.
Governor Bush would be wise to listen to Richard Thompson!
EXactly!

Good graphic!
How dare he (Judge Greer) drink at a time like this?
