TAMPA, Fla. In what may prove to be Terri Schiavo's parents' "final shot," their attorney was trying to persuade a judge Friday that the severely brain-damaged woman had expressed her will to live.
According to an emergency motion filed late Friday afternoon, attorney Barbara Weller said that during a hospice visit on March 18, she asked Schiavo pointedly what her wishes were. Weller directed Schiavo to say the words, "I want to live."

I believe Michael has and had, and enforced, the right to ban cameras and phones from the room during the tube removal, IIRC.
"What goes around, comes around.", etc.
Expect Dr Cranford to come down with alzheimers and be starved to death by some of his like-minded colleagues.
The Federal Government...our saviour!!! Let's hope they step in and block state law everywhere! Let's hope they prevent us from having our rights respected everywhere!

If food and water have become medical procedures then every single one of us is at risk.
"Ms. X, we have decided to terminate your artificial life support so the natural death process can take you peacefully and gently."
no camera is allowed in her room per Michael
I thought it was Michael who has control over the room? either way...how'd you like to have your daughter laying there for 10 years and not be able to photograph you hugging her? Has Michael ever answered why he left her and fathered two children by another woman?
Live by the sword...
Write this down now.
The Sleeping Giant in this will be the women of America.
Because the very nature of the duration of this thing is causing national interest. I've wet my finger, put it in the air, and can tell you the following:
The dialogue continues on this. Beauty shops are abuzz with the topic. Everyone's experienced it. Everyone's got a story.
The women are not happy with this Terri Schiavo situation. As with most national issues, it takes a while for the American public to digest those things not involving soccer practice and daily meals. This issue has captured America. Even the world so I hear yet I read very little from the international media on this.
Don't forget, there's a funeral still to go. There will be cathedrals and grand music. Terri may die on Easter.
The Old Media, God bless them, are drawn up into this thing against their best wishes and good judgement. Because as most of us have known right along, this is a heart wrenching case, a case solved so simply by just releasing this woman to her parents.
The Old Media will HAVE to cover all the funeral hoopla. With this horrific crescendo of a national event occurring as if conducted by the finest maestro there is no way they can walk away from it.
And public opinion will have been swayed. Women of America could not stand buy and watch their daughters, however retarded, slowly starve to death.
Then as women always do, they will tell their husbands how to think.
The discourse is going in the right direction as I see it.
Now is the time to emphasize the courts' role in all of this.
Author note: ;)Yeah, it's a bit tongue in cheek-but I really believe it.
I noticed last night in watching Felos that he does the infernal tongue darting thing that John Kerry does. What's that all about? Is it some sort of a disorder?
....except for the funeral. There will be none. Per her "loving" husband and his buddy Greer.
Michael picks which promises he intends to keep: He says he promised Terri to not let her live under these conditions -- this promise he is keeping.
He also took marriage vows -- but he has decided that's a promise he doesn't have to keep.
He only keeps those promises which are CONVENIENT for him and his well-being. Terri be damned.
If that were the case Terri wouldn't have said anything!
Her lawyer told Terri they could stop all of this if she could just say "I want to live"
Terri cried out for her life I just pray to God judge Greer listens!
"Weller essentially told Terri Schiavo, "You had better say you want to live or they will kill you. Just say you want to live."
Schiavo responded with a drawn out, "IIIIII," then screamed out "waaaaaaaa" so loudly that a police officer stationed outside the room came in. "

They'll probably give her a couple of teaspoons of water if that starts to happen.
They can't have her die on Easter.
But sounds are not always words unless you speak fart.
Apparently you've never been around handicapped people....
Aha!
Gotcha!
Anybody can have a "memorial ceremony" any day, any time, anywhere.
The Schindlers would be foolish to let such a PR opportunity pass. At least Terri's death would not have been in vain.
Boycott Hospice. They have a duty as human beings to help save lives as well as end them.
