Outrageous! Since when are Americans not allowed to free assembly? It's past time for the W administration to start enforciing the immigration laws of this country and secure the ports and borders, fine employers who hire illegals and deport illegals. Ike did it, so can Bush! Vicente Fox needs to start solving Mexico's problems instead of dumping them off on our back porch. And it's also time for Mexico to take off the American "training wheels" and start peddling through life on her on! Semper Fi, Kelly

Stupid move Mr President. Get a new researcher on this - these people are not vigillantes, they are only their to "spot" illegal immigrants for the authorities.

BUSH STAFFER PING. This is his weakest point. He promised to up border security - the citizens wouldn't be down there if the Feds were taking care of business.

If AQ slips through Mexico and launches a successful attack, there will be hell to pay.

You got that right. If the cops are not around to protect my house, I and Ruger will do it.

"I am for enforcing the law in a rational way." The Minuteman Project, The Washington Times notes, was born out of a long-held perception among many U.S. Residents that more Border Patrol agents are needed to handle the flow of illegal immigrants.

No, Mr. President. There is nothing rational about an approach that utterly fails, and had been failing now for decades.

The Minuteman Project was born from the perception that our government has utterly failed in one of the primary functions of any State: to protect our borders.

Misusing the word "Vigilante" by applying it to peaceful observation, simply corrupts logic and reinforces the impression that you just don't get it.

"I am against vigilantes in the united States of America," Bush said at a joint press conference.

Vigilantes have often been organized in our past to fill a needed void. When “legitimate” law enforcement personnel could not or would not do the job, common citizens had to step in.

If the attack is anywhere near the scale of 9/11, he'll face calls for impeachment.

Bush Decries "Vigilantes,"

Yeh! How dare those vigilantes try to keep illegal immigrants out!!!! Illegals are good for the country, the economy, dirty bathrooms. Speaking of which, where's my illegal? My bathroom could use a good cleaning.
[end sarcasm]

Well, GW, vigilantes were the ones who brought law to the frontier in the 1800s. They have to do it again, because YOU WON'T.!!!!

W's gonna get his butt kicked by conservatives on this one. He's so far out to lunch on the illegal immigration issue that he's probably having a burrito on Mars with Captain Picard & Fox.

This issue WILL come back and haunt W. Being a native Democratic Republic of Californian you have to be deaf, dumb & blind not to see the problem.

He WILL be sorry...

If there is another terrorist attack, Bush can bend over and kiss his legacy goodbye!

The Bush administration has had two and a half years to secure the borders, fine employers who hire illegals and deport the TWENTY MILLION ILLEGALS in this oountry. And the Bush administration has done ZIP, ZERO, NADA!

It is costing the state of California alone NINE BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR to allow illegals to remain in this country.
At that cost we could FLY every illegal in America home and still break even at the end of a year!

Exactly. His legacy would toilet worse than x42's.

We pray another attack doesn't happen, but illegals are bringing in too much that isn't being caught. We don't know whatall they are bringing in: terrorist plans? terrorist tools (weapons and armaments and explosives, etc.)? third-world diseases? WMD diseases and biohazards and chemicals? crimes and drugs and crime cartels?

With millions of illegals coming in unabated, anyone with one functioning braincell knows they aren't all coming in to clean toilets and pick lettuce.

What about an citizenship reward: any illegal immigrant with information that results in the capture of a terrorist agent is approved for citizenship? At least that way, the people that are fleeing to America will work for us instead of against us, as cover for AQ ops.

President Bush should be mindful of what's going on in Kyrgyzstan.

And until the W administration starts enforcing the immigration laws of this country, there will never be a victory in the "war on drugs"; there will never be a victory in the "war on terrorism" and there will definitely never be "homeland security!"
Deport the illegals,
Ike did it, so can Bush!
