Isn't this judge blind? He must have a terrible quality of life. He probably wouldn't even feel it if he were starved to death.

The scientific rationalists see a vegetable in human form, a life only in the strictest sense of the word. They see a human machine that is broken and cannot be repaired.
Taken to the extreme, the results of this viewpoint would mean death to the mentally and physically handicapped, the aged, the infirm and pretty much anybody else who cannot and has no potential to take care of themselves and does not produce anything useful to society. Very sobering.

I don't agree with this article at all. The Schiavo case is not about Terri's physical condition but it is similar to Roe vs Wade. From a murdering bunch of judges ruling for Roe, millions of innocent American children have been legally murdered by their mothers and the State.
The Culture of Death Religion has now done its Roe vs Wade, and won. From now on, no sick, mentally retarded or troublesome person's life is safe. It will take a while to get around to all of us to kill us, but brother make no doubt about it, they are coming.
