No matter what our individual and very personal thoughts on this subject, I return to an uncomplicated conclusion, because of this:
Thus, neither her parents nor Michael are the issue here, but the precious life of this woman.
Every indication is she was well grounded in her faith by loving parents and family, and I therefore am confident that when she is released from this earthly life,
Because of her situation, we are acutely aware this Easter of how we stand in God's eyes, and are given to examination of many issues of life and death.
Thank you, Terri, for the awareness you have brought many.
We are confident you already rest in the arms of The Holy Spirit - - -
Angels unaware, comes to mind, and we never know what we might bring with a simple smile and kind word to those we encounter in everyday life...it might be something they truly need to cope with the challenges of life.
Just last night an email reached me from a Marine veteran friend in North Carolina, very close to the Marine Corps' Camp Lejeune. We have kept in touch with him and his wife for over 30 years, last seeing them in 1993 when we visited there.
Thought I would share a story with you.
As you know, Deane works part time at the Welcome Center (near the Emerald Isle Bridge) and seems to enjoy her work. She receives many free, local newspapers. The Camp LeJeune Globe is one of those papers. She always brings one home for me to read. I can keep up with my guys this way. If you remember, I sent you a column out of one of the issues (Women Marines history and tribute).
One of the papers she brought home had a half page picture of a young Marine who had just taken a break from a firefight in Fallujah. The name of the young Marine and his home town were mentioned under the picture, so I looked up the name on the Internet. The boy lived in Somerville, SC. There were five names in that town that matched his and the first one I called was his home. I talked with his mother and told her who I was and where I lived. I told her how I came across the paper and his picture and told her I was a former Marine. I asked her if she would like for me to send the picture to her and she, of course, said yes.
Last week I received a thank you card from her and inside she wrote that that page (with her son's picture on it) also contained the picture of another Marine from the same place. She went on to tell me that the other Marine was killed soon after that picture was taken and that she had given one copy of the paper (I had sent two copies for her) to the parents of the slain Marine. Her son was wounded during the next battle. Unbeknown to me I had touched the lives of two families by taking the time to do a simple favor for a fellow Marine.
Interesting story, isn't it.
Take care and May God Blessings be with your on this blessed weekend.
Simple gestures can bring enormously important results indeed --
Thank you, phancypants, for all that you are.
Glory be to GOD the Father our Savior Jesus Christ is RISEN.
Surrexit Christus hodie!
He is risen, indeed.
A blessed Easter to you all, my FRiends.
Thank you :-)
I hope you and your family are having a lovely Easter!
I found an old love letter that was written just for me,
it told me how much I am loved, so sweet and tenderly.
With a broken heart I read each line of Gods love for me,
it was written by a nail scarred hand at Calvary.
O how this old love letter spoke to my heart and soul,
I was captured by every word as I watched His love unfold.
With special care He wrote it down for all eternity.
It was written by a nail scarred hand at Calvary.
I found the old love letter, the pages stained with red.
I am yours eternally is what the post script said,
I treasure my letter that He nailed upon that tree,
My tears stain its pages every time I read.
O how this old love letter spoke to my heart and soul,
I was captured by every word as I watched His love unfold.
With special care He wrote it down for all eternity.
It was written by a nail scarred hand at Calvary.

Christ The Lord Is Risen Today
HAPPY EASTER!
Glad to hear that you saw mum, and I hope you and dad have a good dinner together! Sounds great.
I'll be cooking dinner in a bit (turkey is traditional for our family) but I've had most of the day free.
Took most of my time working on some projects for the soldiers (wounded mostly) and chatting with some of them as well, they needed cheering up today I think.
God bless them. No better day than Easter that I can think of to serve those who serve to protect us.
God bless you Phancy and the great job you do supporting the military.
Enjoy your turkey dinner when I younger we used to have roast turkey both at Christmas and Easter.
Hi, snugs! Good to see ya, but it seems strange to see you without attached photos of you-know-who! Hope your family indeed has a Blessed Easter!

Today as I stand upon God's rainbow promises, I ask that you join me in celebrating the life of a dear person - Curtiss Bruce Munn, who went to be with the Lord on March 17th.
He and his wife Pat have been close to us, their daughter, Sandy, marrying my son, Steve, in January of 1979.
We share the joy of a fine grandson, Ryan, now 21.
Although prompted by their being back in Columbia for his funeral, Sandy stayed with her mother, and Steve and Ryan and the latter's beautiful girlfrind, Jennifer, came through here on their way back to Florida.
If I may interject a request, two days ago Steve notified me Pat had been weak and her blood pressure sky high through the ordeals of the long illness and the funeral, and he made sure Sandy took her for a checkup this week.
After it, at home Pat collapsed, her right side numb and unable to speak. Sandy called 911 and she was rushed by ambukance to Providence Hospital -- the finding she had had a TIA, and showed evidence of having had two previous 'silent' heart infarcts.
I am glad to say she has recovered the ability to move and speak, and further tests are being done to assess her,
Please join me in prayer that she will make a full recovery.
The plan had been for her to in a week or two drive back to Florida with Sandy. How blessed they are this happened not on the road or in Florida, but there with Sandy and her other daughter, Cheryl, and her regular caregivers and many friends!
My each of us who have known losses of dear ones be comforted.
On this Easter I miss mine, but have special joy because of God's Gift of His Son -- and His paying the price for each of us to dwell with Him.
Prayers up.
