Sadly, that sort of bigotry and thoughtless stereotyping is typical of what we "not on the Left" face. It's hard to take, besides being grossly unfair and inaccurate.
EternalVigilance knows me via the telephone- Tom, how are you?- and can at least say that I don't appear to be a fire-breathing, bible-pounding fanatic in normal conversation. My wife & I are lifelong Episcopalians, but due to her years of work at the local Synagogue, have had no fewer than four different Rabbis dub us "honorary Jews." She also belongs to the Temple Sisterhood. Darned if I can see a "fanatic" around this house.
Pepper777, like you, I've been sending The Empire Journal's new information far and wide, and people are waking up. Sadly, it is probably too late, but at least we are trying.
My wife's a self-described "new deal democrat," ( think Scoop Jackson or Zell Miller, not the newer thuggish breed ) and she's horrified by all this.
The testimony of that woman who had come out of a PVS floored her, and opened her eyes. She calls what we are bearing witness to "killing under the color or authority," and she's right.
Gee, Vel, I didn't realize that Tom Harkin (D--Iowa) was a Christian extremist. He supported the bill in Congress.
