Let me just say that I have always been one to be supportive of my government. I am appauled when I see anti war demonstraters lining streets burning our precious flag.I worked on the 2004 campaign. I have been eyeing Jeb for the upcoming Prez elections in the future.
HOWEVER,
I have been thinking. What if we let this slide without words. Without emotions. Without our expressions of dissapointment? What if euthinasia is approved. What is legal killing passed a certain age becomes acceptable in the future. What if, since a person cannot walk and is dependent on a WHEELCHAIR, that is considered life support? .....and this is acceptable in our society??
The next thing they come at is that we can no longer take our Bibles into a public place. That it is ILLEGAL to wear a cross on our necks? then God forbid, we can no longer worship just where we want? or advertise our church meetings in a public paper? SEE WHERE I AM LEADING??
We need to ponder what is happening here. There comes a time folks where we say, NO. We must stand up for what is right. I believe that CONSTITUTIONALLY Jeb has the authority to go in and rescue Terri. Other constitionalists do too. Even the Catholic Priest is saying go in no matter what. Ultimately Jeb will decide that. We cannot do that for him. But what we CAN DO is EXPRESS OURSELVES. Hopefully in a peaceful way, but we can and SHOULD EXPRESS our DISSAPOINTMENT.

The "death" promoters expect us to kick up ruckus for a while, beat our collective breasts, wail and moan for a while, and then go away. As we usually have done on various issues in the past. They expect us to lose steam and not gain any momentum.
All the while, since many of us are what is contemptuously called "conservative Christians", they will report the most outlandish comments one of us makes in their media, post pictures of some of the more demonstrative of us praying with our hands waving in the air, looking to the rest of the country, and probably the world, like a bunch of simple minded kooks.
They will be sure that THEIR spokes people are portrayed in the media as the calm and rational ones, with only our best interests at heart. They'll talk about kindness and gentleness, and "peacefully slipping away to be with God". They will do all this with a straight face, in spite of the torture they have inflicted on Terri, and her entire family.
Its a well organized campaign. Time is on their side here. They really believe they can render us impotent and, even if we don't go away, we won't have the power to stop them. After all, THEY have the judges, the new demi-gods of America.
