'I couldn't MAKE this stuff up if I tried."

With all due respect. You are two longtime Freepers whom I admire and with whom I agree so often, though I may not post about it.

I must agree that some people are really losing it in terms of wanting to save Terri. Feel free to check my earlier posts (please don't read my posts of last night, though, after I had a big dinner with a lot of wine, LOL).

Anyone who thinks the GOP did this for a political advantage is off their rocker. Not only did they alienate most people who think this is a family matter, they alienated plenty of conservatives who think the same thing, and another group of conservatives who won't be satisfied until GW himself sends in federal troops to rescue Terri.

All the stress and emotion has combined to make people go out of their minds with grief (and they aren't even family members), may I respectfully request that we not laugh or mock people who are upset. Or make lists.

I think they did it for political advantage, and for all the reasons you outline it didn't work. Just because a move doesn't gain political advantage doesn't mean that wasn't the goal. The whole coming back from vacation to vote on a pointless resolution on an issue that was popular with much of the base was 100% politics. Unfortunately for them between the transparency, the ineffectiveness, and the clear abuse of power it did them no good, and accomplished no good for the situation.

Well said. And I won't look at those posts you made last night after a little wine :-)

I certainly don't wish to offend anyone and am not really laughing. I find it rather sad that the hyperbole has reached this level. Also, after days of being called a Nazi, etc., I need to read a few posts like those being mentioned in order to realize that it is not I who is insane. But you have made a good point and I will have to think about how I react in the future.

These "upset people" are turning FR into a laughingstock with their red-faced rants. Not only do some of them make no sense, but they advocate hostility and ridicule the President and his brother.

Tell you what. I won't say a word. I'll just post their own words in a separate post, in bold. Lurkers can draw their own conclusions.
