And the judiciary has long lost their moral compass. All hail the power of the legal branch. And be sure to separate church and state so that, ultimately, all ethics will be forced to the sidelines in the name of liberal judges.
"You see a corrupted judiciary and you're blindly blaming the President. How unfortunate."
You're absolutely right. Blame the Judges who illegally defied a law put before them, Not the messenger!
"NBC Nightly News had a segment last night on exactly this. They STATED that MS has been "villified" (their words) by folks like me. Went on and on about how he has stood by her, blah blah blah"
You've got that right.
He'll probably make millions once she is dead.
And I have friends and family who side with him. Because they don't want to take the time to care.
Did I say they are distasteful? I alternate between finding the hyperbole ignorant and it's useful to know just who it is who has taken over FR.
Can someone bring me up to date? I'm really at a loss of what is happening since I've been gone all day. Are we at a deadend? Is hope still alive?
No they won't. They only lesson the sheeple have learned is to rush out and get a living will.
I just got home and need to be updated. Any news yet? Are they still in court?
I agree with your post, 100%.
He did not have to ask for custody.
The statutes laid that out.
I honestly cannot think of an analogy that I can use without getting removed, right now.
Okay. Got it.
Bad guys got your niece. Your cousin can just go in and get her, provided he does just that and doesn't try to ask the uncle of one of the bad guys for his permission to your niece. But no, he goes straight to the uncle of the bad guy and asks. Oh, he's also been turned by before by the uncle of the bad guy.
He didn't follow what was a clear map.
I'm simmering. I'm simmering.
At least I'm down from a boil.
I do think one good thing out of all this court stuff is that if there is any money left, MS might be deprived of it for his lawyers fees.
I heard Bork, also. It really is our civic responsibility to correct injustice.
Don't you think?
Terri is the canary, America is the coal mine.
....if we're smart and want to remain loyal to our beliefs, we will boycott it and the books!
I have been praying today for God to be with Gov. Bush.
There have been some terrible things said about him on these forums. That's so injust. How can any of us not sympathize with the agonizing choice he faces? On the one hand, there's a voice telling him he must throw all caution to the wind and rescue Terri, even if it means impeachment. Another voice is telling him he swore a sacred oath to uphold the laws of his state.
It must be tearing him apart. He deserves better than our calumny and I pray that God will comfort him and his family.
(People should realize that it was the state legislature that put him in his cruel position. After they refused to act there was little Jeb could do.)
I don't know what Felos and Greer are hiding but you can bet it is a lot with the way they are acting. Do believe some Freepers have lost sight everything -- should be digging to find out the connection between the two -- not heresay but absolute facts.
This has smelled from Day One but the people of that area reelected Greer which still astounds me.
Where was the outcry when this insane bill was passed and made the law in Florida.
There are so many questions and not enough answers. Terri should have had her OWN lawyer and her OWN independent guardian when all this came up which makes me think there is a lot here not uncovered. The money from the settlement should have been put in an account for her therapy and care and controlled by a trust not by her husband, a judge, or any relative IMHO.
Fox reporting that the families are still in court right now.
*LOL*
So is that it, then?
All this because you're mad somebody, or somebodies, whoever they are, have "taken over FR"?
Zany, indeed.
She likes the misery in that oh, so very deliciously way..?
Not me, mind you. I'm into hot chocolate and shortbread.
