Super interesting article about a new website that just popped up in Germany....
German Ping Please...
No link? No article? No Nuttin!??
I am trying to start a new business- I will offer my employess a 4 day work week - but they will have to work their asses off for those 4 days
It beats the normal 2 productive days I see for a 5 day week
This link is up there...?? http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,66961,00.html
thanks for the post. Wired has been a good source of unconvential news an ideas - too bad they are not consistent int he delivery of these ideas.
As requested by STFrancis.
Wired News....German Workers Do the Wage Limbo
longjack
Interesting article!
However, this idea alone will not help the economy, but coupled with tax cuts it might!IMO.
Well, you could always lower taxes, dump socialism and repeal laws that make it hard to fire people and thus unappealing to hire them in the first place.
Unions have told prospective bidders not to accept less than 5 euros per hour (about $6.60) for work obtained through the site. Unlike European counterparts such as Great Britain, Germany does not have a minimum-wage law.
Hmm. I didn't know that.
Niebel also said the 3-euro-per-hour minimum wage specified by JobDumping is immoral and that workers would effectively pay no tax, thus making no contribution to society.
I'll call the Krankenwaaaaaaaagen (German for Waaaaaaaahbulance).
