Good night and God Bless!
Amen! Lord, I agree! You are the One Eternal God---Immortal, Invisible, God always wise. You never forsake Your children. We lift up hearts of praise to You for all You are doing as we wait for Your answers which shall surely come. Blessed is the Name of the Lord, Most High. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Lord, I too agree, and I thank you for this virtual prayer meeting...a place where we can celebrate you. Yet Lord, we long for Terri's pain. We hurt for her. We think of you, Lord, in the garden, alone. We know that you are powerful, righteous, and holy, and we know that none of these events are taking you by surprise. Sustain Terri's life. Glorify Your Son, Jesus. Redeem the time. Soften the hearts of the men who hold Terri's life in the balance. Heal our land. In Christ's Holy Name, Amen
Because this is a spirtual battle - not just one of conflicting political or moral beliefs.
Agreeing with you in prayer.
:) I should have added Alice's thread. I've thought about her a time or two today.
Are you nuts and hard to get along with too?
night, sfi. sleep well.
One of my favorites. Takes me back to when I was a little girl. Thank you and hugs.
>>Pray all you want, but why not on a separate prayer thread? I doubt I'd be all alone since there are many posts here discussing the issues involved without prayers.<<
There have been prayers on this thread all day.....You should have been here. We don't need a new thread, perhaps you do.....
Amen
Agreeing with you, andie. May God bless these prayers that are lifted up in agreement and in complete faith in His Almighty Power and His Amazing Grace.
Isn't that beautiful? If I knew how, I would just post it on this thread. Hopefully, people will click on it.
I did finally bring a basket of clothes to the computer and fold them. Duning the first couple days my hubby wasn't happy with me staying up all hours of the night but I think he understands a little better now.
I spoke with Terri's mom, Mary, about tonight's hearing before Judge James Whittemore. She said it was terrible. Judge Whittemore made it very clear that he was not on Terri's side. Judge Whittemore chastised attorney David Gibbs for stating that Terri's death by starvation was murder. Judge Whittemore indicated he was offended by the word.
Brother Paul of the Franciscan Brothers for Peace (and close friend of the Schindlers)also attended tonight's hearing. He also said that it went very bad.
They feel the judge will dismiss the motions. At the conclusion of the hearing, Judge Whittemore told the Schindlers that he will take his time to make a decision and that they should go home, get something to eat, and some rest.
Judge Whittemore is a jerk just like Greer.
"It reminded me of that feeling as a child with your parents arms wrapped around you after a booboo. :-)"
That is a wonderful description! It's exactly how it feels!
I'm so glad you came here tonight and were able to find peace.
I ran to the kitchen to make soup really quickly for my dh who is working late. I turned on the radio in the kitchen with a station we listen to while we do dishes or cook. (we're more radio people than TV people) "God is in Control" was the song on the radio when I turned it on and I just grinned from ear to ear!
Jay Wolfson said on some program today that he "went through 30000 pages" studying Terri's information. He said he was with her one month, "being with her 4 hours a day.
So in the 16 waking hours he has, minus 4 for observation, minus 1 for driving, minus 1 for eating/family/bathroom, he has 10 hours to read 1000 pages every day. 100 pages per hour. "Went through" is not analysis of. Just because he handled the reading does not mean he understood it correctly.
His final analysis was: "We apply the best law that we have."
What??? Why not say, "our existing law is horrible and needs change."
We can't learn how to fix our laws if the laws we make are contrary to God's. God has created all humans in His image, and that has inherent value. He has given His only Son to come to Earth, add a human nature so that He can be our Representative in His sacrificial death. Jesus now offers us forgiveness, life, new life! And this is what Good Friday tomorrow and Easter Sunday are all about!
Hi, American! It's good to know you and others are here to take over. Aussie Dasher took over for me last night and that was much appreciated. I feel better about going to bed knowing that my place is taken in our prayer vigil. We really appreciate all of you Freepers around the world. We're covering Terri in prayer 24/7 aren't we?
SoCar...tonight we've been called to praise and pray. When there's news, we comment...

I was feeling a little amused when I wrote it.
