NEW Neurosurgeon WAS at Terri's bedside Today--says Terri is misdiagnosed
CNN 5:PM PT Anderson Cooper on | 3/23/05 | gentlestrength

Posted on 03/23/2005 5:35:31 PM PST by gentlestrength

The spiritual advisor of the Schindlers, Bro. O'Donnell, said the Dept. of Children and Families has had a new physician examine Terri and that "he DID go into her room and WAS at her side and DID observe her."

Department of Children and Families, are the department if someone is being physically abused, or the elderly, and "they have the authority" to take her into protective custody.

He continued, "what is being done to her now constitutes" that, and that DCF should "be taking her into protective custody."

Cooper: "Aren't people being taken off feeding tubes all the time?" Brother O'Donnell: "When they're DYING. But she was not dying. She could live another 20, 40 years."

"She's the only person who has been COURT ORDERED to have her tubes removed. Not 'The guardian MAY" but the guardian 'shall' remove her tubes."

CNN checked on the facticity of this last claim, and found that "There is ONLY ONE other case, Nancy Beth Cuzan in which the court ordered the tube MUST be removed."

Dr.Sanjay Gupta says if Terri is in the minimally conscious state, her eyes open spontaneously. She must do one of the following: --follow simple commands (to show she can hear and understand) --give yes or no responses

Just heard the Rev. Jesse Jackson, of all people, say that "it is unethical to starve and dehydrate a person to death..."

No, it reeks of judicial corruption.

Do you realize that this is no different than burying her alive?

That's factually untrue; the probes can be removed for the MRI. Any more falsehoods you'd like to spittle out?

"Have you ever read even ONE court document?
The fallacies surrounding this case have gotten into people's DNA or something. I've never seen Freepers this ignorant. You used to all do research and read. Well, read, dammit. Read court documents and transcripts. Do you want the links?"

Forgive me please if I have very little faith in the court docs. As you so rightly point out, the links are plentiful here and easily researched. Just because many of us differ with our conclusions from you does not make us ignorant. I would never call you ignorant.

hugs to you -- just wanted to tell you that in the bedlam of all that's going on. God, bring Terri to safety and all of us to the peace of knowing that she is safe in the care of those who value her.

"Yippee! Did you hear? Terri could live like this for another 20, 40 years! Lucky Terri! With any luck, she'll outlive her parents!"

Not your call, slick.

You asserted (in utter naivete babble), "Terri's case has been the most examined and litigated case of its kind in history." What has actually occurred, right through the Whittemore 'hearing' is a rubber stamp of Greer's rulings, without a true de novo hearing. Stop trying to distort the facts.

Thank you Brigette for the link to the neurosurgeon's testimony. I pray we not allow an innocent sentient human being to die against their wishes.

Well, everyone had better start trembling, or, rejoicing. Someone said she wanted to die, so, let's go kill her. Foreign countries will take her, money is offered to save her, but heII, let's just kill her.

Anyone for a thought on the death of the last martyr?

The Judge is legally blind and has probably been hiding it for years. He may have made serious mistakes in cases because he could not see,and he needs help from Felos and all the other creeps from the hemlock society to cover up his doodoo. I have so much admiration for Terri, for her courage and sacrifice and she may have the last laugh by being responsible for a thorough investigation into Hospice,Hemlock Society, all those lawyers and judges in that unholy group. Hospice was recently bought out in my area, but I do not recall the details. I know there were big problems.

Why do you so desperately want the woman dead?

It is sick.

If you ever were required to bury your child, as I have, you might have some pity on the poor woman's parents.

I have nothing but contempt for people who wish this woman dead while her parents cry to let their daughter live and be treated humanely by someone not under the coercion of an adulterous husband who has proven himself a piece of human trash.

Quit waving the banner, "Starve Our Innocent to Death...for Their Own Good."

Patients that have implants inside them can make it dangerous for them to be in the presence of strong magnetic fields.

People with pacemakers cannot be scanned or even go near the scanner because the magnet can cause the pacemaker to malfunction.

Many clips, staples, and other medical devices are made of NON-ferrous material..and thus no problem for MRI scanning.

Most orthopedic implants, even though they may be ferromagnetic, are fine because they are firmly embedded in bone. Even metal staples in most parts of the body are fine -- once they have been in a patient for a few weeks (usually six weeks), enough scar tissue has formed to hold them in place.

Patients with an implants or metallic objects inside their body, are investigated thoroughly to make sure it is safe to scan them.

Some patients are turned away because it is too dangerous. When this happens, there is usually an alternative method of imaging that can help them.

FWIW-

Okay, I can never keep up, but as for this:

"They might burn in hell, but for goodness' sake, let's not hope for it. Pray for your enemies."

Truer words were never spoken.

Okay, I have to log off for family reasons .

I have a husband and children who have to go to bed and I can't spend my entire life on the computer, now can I.

Um, on second thought, don't answer that. ;) )

But I am sure the first thought I have when I wake up will be of Terri.

And I hope there is some still hope for her tomorrow.

Goodnight, all. God bless.

Sheriff's Dept hired the man to work for them. They're not going to leave him out in the cold regardless of the facts accumulating in the case.
