Well- it wasn't a "new" solution- but he put it out there as COMMON SENSE.

He said- Michael- stand up and be a man- turn Terri over to her family- let go and move on with your life.

Next he's having on a "prominent Democrat" who agreed with what Bush and Congress did...

2) EMERGENCY PROTECTIVE SERVICES INTERVENTION. --If the department has reasonable cause to believe that a vulnerable adult is suffering from abuse or neglect that presents a risk of death or serious physical injury to the vulnerable adult and that the vulnerable adult lacks the capacity to consent to emergency protective services, the department may take action under this subsection.

Here's the section of the law that empowers Jeb to order her removal. This section requires a petition to the courts AFTER removal. Greer can't stop removal under Section 2.

Greer has denied the petition under Section 1 of this law.

I meant to say I wouldn't hold it AGAINST the parents if they exaggerated a little bit to get federal relief.

The statute makes no provision for a court to be able to stop DCF from taking anyone they determine to be at risk in an emergency situation. A judge is only given a say after the fact. The judge has overstepped his boundaries... again.

I am absolutely stunned. The prominent Dem O'R has on...is LANNY Davis. NEVER in my WILDEST dreams did I think I'd hear such words coming from him. He's terrific.

Yes... let's rush right in there without doing any planning, and let's just pray they don't kill her trying to save her life!

Patience people! - Terri has gone longer without food or water before. DCF will go in after the area is secure. They will take her out as gently and easily as possible so they don't kill her (or someone else) while they are taking her into protective custody.

A lot like certain "Catholics" (my own religion) who support abortion.

Most republicans, I believe, would consider him a RINO. I also read he is Baptist, but that he has received so much criticism from his own congregation that he had withdrawn himself from that congregation.

By this info, not only is Greer OBLIGATED to step aside for DCF to do their job, but the is OBLIGATED to furnish them with the proper paperwork to not impede their lawful, mandated duty.

Ah. But he did!

This exercise in moot court is tiresome.

Just because he's stopped worshipping at a particular church doesn't mean he isn't a Christian.

Lanny Davis said (paraphrasing)- the benefit of the doubt should go to life- that the motives of Michael Schiavo are questionable- that he should turn Terri over to her parents- and that every last measure should be taken in her interests...

Amazing.

yes and they will... but do you understand that some hard core planning must be done before they go in?

Even if Greer did deny the petition filed under Section 1; he is cut out of the picture if Terri is rescued under Section 2.

I think the initial petition was done as further support that this is an emergency as defined under Section 2.

Lanny must have figured out some way to make money on this case. Perhaps the networks just needed additional commentators to help fill up the 24 hour news coverage. Lanny said: "Sure, what side would you like me to take?"
