State officials say they are considering removing Terri Schiavo from hospice, by force if necessary, despite numerous court orders upholding the removal of the artificial nutrition tube that has kept her alive for 15 years.
Lucy Hadl, secretary of the Department of Children and Families, said Wednesday morning that her staff is relying on a state law that gives the department the authority to intervene on behalf of a vulnerable adult who is 'suffering from abuse or neglect that presents a risk of death or serious physical injury.'
Hadl said that the DCF would have to file a petition in order to remove Schiavo, but that 'it doesn't mean we'd have to have judicial approval in advance of taking the action if we believed it met the threshold for doing it.'
Hadl said that seven years of court rulings backing Schiavo's husband Michael, in his contention that Terri Schiavo did not wish to be kept alive artificially would not stop the DCF from taking action.
'We're not compelled to look at prior judicial proceedings,' Hadl said.
What we are compelled to look at is the presenting circumstances and any allegiations of abuse and neglect that we have recieved. So we have to deal with those and fufill out statutory responsibility.'

What a statement this picture makes. At least this young man knows right from wrong. Something the boys in blue obviously don't grasp.
They should have called in sick. Convenient, though. Now if you are researching a paper and want to know what the guards at the gas chambers felt, you can ask these boys.
Do you think? I just heard on an ABC radio newsfeed about 15 minutes ago that Judge Greer issued an order that the local LE at hospice were not to allow anyone to take Terri. The news report said he issued this order in response to George Felos telling him that the State Police were on their way to take Terri into custody for the DFC. This is all getting pretty weird.
jwalsh07 piinged me to it, it's powerful and he's a doc who advises DCF, note that it was dated today. Maybe something good will happen tonight.
You are repeating unsubstantiated allegations rather than known facts - and that is one of the truly awful parts of this case. People who stand on the side of Life are repeating things they have no way of knowing are true or false - and are doing so simply because of the ugly nature of those on the other side. Yes, all the usual suspects are ganged up, all too ready to pull the plug. (If Terri were a convicted murderer - would they be so eager? It is rather her very innocence that does not move them). But please consider the extreme medical likelihood that the soul you are fighting for really ceased to be, long ago. That reality does not validate the Culture of Death that pervades the Left. It merely reflects the tragedy of this single event, as well as the preciousness of God's gift of Life.

Maybe they will make her parents guardian and then they can take her OUT OF FLORIDA!!
It's obvious - by the judges action - all of them - she couldn't get a fair hearing.
The FEDERAL Justice system will investigate and punish mr greer, He has defied US orders to appear in front of Congressional Committee and just denied a person their US Civil rights to Constitutional Life and Liberty by suppressiong evidence.
I did note it was dated today.....and was absolutely shocked it was from today.

Doesn't matter the whole bunch will be arrested-felos, Monster Mike, judge greer-....it is A FLORIDA LAW...greer can't do one flippin' thing....
I am sure that the freepers would get completely out of the way to let the state take her into protective custody.
